The PGA TOUR will be in Dublin, Ohio for a second straight week after Collin Morikawa ($10,000) claimed his second Tour victory with a win at the Workday Charity Open. This week, the Memorial Tournament will use the same course at Muirfield Village Golf Club with a few minor alterations, highlighted by thicker rough and faster greens. The Memorial has been taking place at this track for 44 years, so there’s plenty of course history to dive into as you set your lineups in addition to some very applicable recent results from last week even on the same course.
The field this week is smaller and stronger than last week’s and some big names will be joining the bubble after taking last week off, including Bryson DeChambeau ($11,100), Rory McIlroy ($10,700), Dustin Johnson ($10,300) and Tiger Woods ($9,000). Other high-priced options that had success last week at the Workday include Morikawa, Justin Thomas ($10,900), Viktor Hovland ($9,500) and Jon Rahm ($9,300), who closed out last week with a -8 final round.
You’ll need to manage your cap carefully with so many stars in play, but there are fewer options available at the bottom of the salary structure. The flip side of that is that with fewer golfers in play, there is a great numerical chance that your value plays can make the cut. Each week since the restart I’ve been highlighting four plays that can contribute to your team from their very affordable salaries under $7,500. They all definitely come with risk but also allow you more freedom in your other roster spots.

Adam Hadwin, $7,400
Hadwin made the cut in four of five trips to The Memorial highlighted by a top 15 in 2016. He fired a 66 last Thursday to be on the Workday Charity Open leaderboard early but faded with 73-76 before finishing strong with a 68 on Sunday to finish T35.
Since the Tour restart, Hadwin is 4-for-4 in made cuts with a T4 finish at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He is also 11-for-12 in made cuts this season with a runner-up finish back at the Safeway Open in September, which is one of his three top-10 finishes this season.

Lucas Glover, $7,100
Since the PGA TOUR returned to action, Glover has been locked in and returning good results. He has made the cut in each of the four events he has played with finishes between 20th and 25th in each event. He fired a final round 67 in Detroit to climb to his T21 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and took last week off, passing on the Workday Charity Open.
Even though he didn’t play last week, Glover has experience on this track. He has played the event 15 times in his career with nine made cuts and one top-10 finish. He has played the weekend each of the past six seasons, making him a solid salary-saver with decent upside at barely over $7K.
Enter multiple lineups into the DraftKings Golf Millionaire contest before 3PM ET on Wednesday, July 15 and land a prize if that bonus hits. See more details here.
Zach Johnson, $6,700
Johnson has made the cut in nine of his 10 career trips to the Memorial and finished second at the event in 2006. He sat out the event last season but will be back on this course for a second week in a row. At the Workday, he finished T31 with a 67-74-69-72 performance. If he can eliminate that one bad round and continue his good form he could have an even better finish this week.
Overall, ZJ has played well since the restart, including a T11 at the Travelers Championship a few weeks ago after missing the cut at Harbour Town. He has always been a consistent performer throughout his career and has the approach game needed to excel at Muirfield Village Golf Club. He’s a solid value play who should be able to give you a good finish even though his lack of distance can sometimes cap his ceiling.
Stewart Cink, $6,100
Cink is a bit of a blast from the past, for sure, but he has been playing well this season on Tour and has a strong track record at Muirfield Village Golf Club. The 47-year-old vet has played this event a whopping 22 times in his career with 20 made cuts and 10 top-25 finishes. He didn’t play the event last season and missed the cut in 2018, but finished 25th as recently as 2017.
He has been playing well this season having made 10-of-12 cuts including 2-of-3 since the restart. He looked very solid last week at the Workday Charity Open, when he fired three straight rounds under par to surge to T17 after opening with an even-par 72 on Thursday. Cink hasn’t won a tournament since the 2009 Open Championship and I don’t expect him to beat out an elite field of younger players this week. However, if he continues to play well and makes the cut again this week, Cink will be a nice flier play with his salary barely over the minimum.
