Greg Ehrenberg gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Monday’s three-game late Madden Stream slate on DraftKings, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

We’re all in need of some entertainment during these times of the unknown. DraftKings is doing its part by offering Madden simulations with a variety of teams going at it. For this piece, we’ll focus on the three-game late slate on Monday, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Quarterbacks

Stud

Carson Wentz, PHI at CHI ($6,800)

Of the three expensive quarterbacks on this slate, I don’t really like any of them. Wentz is the best option of what’s available by process of elimination. Ben Roethlisberger ($6,600) is playing against the Vikings, who have had the best defense in our sims. On the other side of that game, Kirk Cousins ($6,700) has rarely lived up to salary expectations. He averages 15.2 DKFP, the least of any QB on tonight’s slate. This is how I land on Wentz and his 17.7 DKFP average as the best of this trio.

Value

Mitchell Trubisky, CHI vs. PHI ($5,900)

Unlike the above quarterbacks, I like Trubisky quite a bit. Not only he is the cheapest QB on the slate, but he also averages the most DKFP. Trubisky is putting up 20.5 DKFP and his rushing ability has made him close to unstoppable in Madden. In total, he’s racked up 1,703 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.

Running Backs

Stud

Dalvin Cook, MIN at PIT ($6,800)

Cook continues to be one of the safest running back plays in Madden. At a position where production has generally been really tough to predict, Cook has scored double-digit DKFP in 12 consecutive games. Not only has he been safe, he has as much upside as any RB. Cook has scored as many as 44.4 DKFP in a win over the Bengals.

Value

Tarik Cohen, CHI vs. PHI ($3,400)

A boom or bust option at running back, Cohen has the potential to be the best value at the position. He’s also the only RB on this slate priced under $5,000 averaging more than 6.1 DKFP, so Cohen is kind of the play here by default. Despite being the backup on the depth chart, he’s been more productive than the starting running back, David Montgomery ($5,000). Cohen averages 9.2 DKFP compared to just 4.4 DKFP per game for Montgomery.

Wide Receivers

Stud

Adam Thielen, MIN at PIT ($6,000)

The high-end receiver options are ugly for this slate. Theilen and Juju Smith-Schuster (6,600) are the only players at the position averaging more than 13.5 DKFP. Since I don’t like to target players going up against the Vikings’ defense, I am leaning toward Thielen over Juju. Thielen has 144 receptions for 2,283 yards with 19 touchdowns in our sims.

Value

Nelson Agholor, PHI at CHI ($4,100)

This is a tough slate to find a cheap receiver to be confident in. None of the available options have produced particularly well. At least Agholor has been relatively steady. He has three or more catches in 12 straight games and has at least 7.0 DKFP in 10 consecutive contests. At his price, it seems unlikely he will destroy a lineup.

Tight Ends

Stud

Zach Ertz, PHI at CHI ($5,500)

By a wide margin, Ertz is the top tight end on the slate with a 90 overall rating. This has led to him averaging 14.6 DKFP per sim, 2.5 DKFP more than any other player at the position. Since there aren’t many viable options to spend up for on the slate, it makes sense to roster the most expensive tight end since he has played well. Ertz has at least a dozen fantasy points in seven of his past nine games.

Value

Kyle Rudolph, MIN at PIT ($4,700)

If you are into chasing points, Rudolph scored 29 DKFP in the Vikings’ last game and has played really well over the past couple of weeks. He has double-digit DKFP in seven of his past nine games and of Rudolph’s seven touchdowns, three have come in the past five games.

Defense/Special Teams

Vikings DST at PIT ($2,600)

The Vikings have had the best defense in our Madden sims. Minnesota averages 7.1 DKFP and no other DST on this slate averages over 5.1 DKFP. Playing against the Steelers, the Vikings have a good chance to force a turnover or two. Roethlisberger has thrown 15 interceptions and no other QB on this slate has more than nine.
