It took a missed Justin Thomas putt on 18 and three playoff holes, but Collin Morikawa earned his second career PGA TOUR victory in the first half of the back-to-back at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio. Morikawa rebounded from a lackluster 72 in the third round Saturday by firing off a final-round 66 to capture the win.

With the Workday Charity Open in the books, the PGA TOUR stays at Muirfield Village for its annual stop at the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide. This event was founded in 1976 by Jack Nicklaus and will see the return to the PGA TOUR of Tiger Woods, who had not participated in a PGA TOUR event since the restart as was last seen on the links in May as part of The Match: Champions for Charity. There will be 133 players in the invitational field, including Bryson DeChambeau, who is a past winner at Muirfield and won his last event on Tour two weeks ago at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit. Patrick Cantlay won this event last year on the strength of a final-round 64, which propelled him past Adam Scott by two shots. The top 65 and ties will make the cut after 36 holes.
