Two New Year’s Day fixtures comprise DraftKings’ main EPL game slate on Friday. Here is a look at some high-priced options and value plays for your roster.

Set your DraftKings lineup here: EPL $35K Counter Attack [$10K to 1st]

Forwards

Studs

Marcus Rashford ($8,300)

Rashford has already scored five goals in December. Despite this being a busy month, those are impressive returns. He scored the only goal in a 1-0 win against Wolves. He is second in Manchester United in all three key offensive metrics: goals scored (7), assists (4) and shots taken (39). He will continue to be a crucial inclusion in your fantasy roster.

Values

Dominic Calvert-Lewin ($7,800)

Calvert-Lewin has enjoyed quite a stellar season so far. He has scored 11 goals, which is second most in the Premier League behind only Mohamed Salah. How has he been scoring his goals? Primarily through being a fantastic target in the box. He has won 68 aerial battles this season, comfortably the highest on Everton.

Others to consider: Sebastien Haller ($5,900)

Midfielders

Studs

Bruno Fernandes ($10,800)

Such has been Fernandes’ contributions to Manchester United that he is leading his club in several areas despite playing the primary role of playmaker. He has scored 10 goals with seven assists and 46 shots taken — highest in Manchester United in all aspects. He is currently averaging 23.5 DKFP per game.

Values

Gylfi Sigurdsson ($8,000)

There aren’t too many stats to back up this decision. It’s a bit of an instinct and gut play as Sigurdsson will see an increased role if Richarlison ($8,200) isn’t able to start. Another important factor is that Sigurdsson takes the penalties for Everton. With VAR becoming so ubiquitous, Sigurdsson might be the beneficiary if West Ham make an error in the box.

Others to consider: Anwar El Ghazi ($8,900)

Defenders

Studs

Aaron Cresswell ($6,300)

Cresswell is leading West Ham in assists this season. That throws some light on how often he makes runs down the left flank. That’s primarily how he has generated 11.1 DKFP per game. He will be looking to put in more crosses into the six-yard box for West Ham’s fast-improving offensive lineup.

Values

Harry Maguire ($3,400)

Maguire is arguably the most pivotal part of Manchester United’s defense. He is leading the club in aerial battles won (64), clearances (54), interceptions (32) and passes completed (957). To be able to draft a player of this level of importance at just $3.4K speaks to why he is so immensely valuable on this slate.

Goalkeepers

David De Gea ($5,500)

This season has been completely unpredictable, but Aston Villa simply doesn’t score a lot of goals. That’s just how the team plays soccer. De Gea has been decent this season. He has committed his fair share of errors, but he has also saved plenty of goals. Manchester United has conceded 23 goals. Despite this being a competent Aston Villa team offensively, I can’t see United conceding too many at home.

Others to consider: Lukasz Fabianski ($4,300)
