NFL Best Bets: Football Picks, Predictions to Consider on DraftKings Sportsbook for Week 16 (Sunday)

I’ve been waiting kind of late in Week 16 to get in on bets, and still, not much is jumping out to me. I placed one moneyline bet early in the week, and as things stand, it’s the only play I have. But there are some player props I’ll be getting in on throughout the day, so they’re worth mentioning. Here are a few plays that standout most on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Chicago Bears at Jacksonville Jaguars

David Montgomery Rushing Yards: OVER 80.5 (-134)

Even though I’m getting to this late, I wanted to include one play from the early games. The Bears have finally been featuring Montgomery more and more as the season progresses. He’s rushed for at least 72 yards in five of the last six games, and 100-plus in three of the last four. Last week, we saw him take on a very encouraging workload, rushing 32 times for 146 yards in a must-win game against Minnesota. Look for Monty to run through the Jags as a growing favorite of more than a touchdown — Jacksonville ranks 30th at 146.5 yards per game allowed on the ground.

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys

PHI -3 (-110)

Philly is the moneyline pay I locked in early in the week, but with the line growing, better to just lay the points as this stage. Dallas is a little inflated, not just because it’s coming off the win over the 49ers, but because it put up 41 points. Philly’s defense should be able to contain a bit more, but this is all about Jalen Hurts. The Eagles are a new team with the rookie at the help, creating a passing and rushing attack much more difficult to defend. The Cowboys gave up 33 to a dreadful San Francisco offense last week, so the Eagles should be able to find their points in this one.

Tennessee Titans at Green Bay Packers

Derrick Henry Rushing Yards: OVER 104.5 (-139)

A couple of weeks ago, I finally told myself that I’ll no longer be afraid of the massive rushing props Henry is always tagged with. With at least 147 rushing yards in three of his last four games, needless to say, they’ve been cashing. Henry has now rushed for 100-plus in five of his last six, nearly doubling his rushing prop against the Jags with 215 yards. The Green Bay defense has been ok on the surface, but it allows nearly 115 yards per game at home, and the Packers have generally been playing from ahead in these spots. As just a three-point favorite, we’re going to see the Packers take a much better shot from the Titans on SNF. We saw the game plan the Niners used to shred Green Bay in the NFC Championship last year.
