Another EPL game week concludes this Monday with a two-game slate on DraftKings, including a London derby between Chelsea and West Ham. Here is a breakdown of the players to consider for your DraftKings roster from Monday’s games.
Pedro Neto ($9,600)
With Raul Jimenez ($7,800) still recovering from a nasty head injury, Pedro Neto has stepped up for Wolves. In a build-up play, he can be tricky for any defender. On the counter-attack, his potency increases because of his speed, as Chelsea found out when he scored a late game-winner. He has scored four goals this season, tied for the club lead. He has also chipped in with two assists, 24 shots taken and 18 interceptions, second for Wolves in all each of those categories. Neto has also scored in three of Wolves’ previous five games.
Olivier Giroud ($8,500)
Giroud can occasionally be a hit-or-miss punt play in fantasy soccer. He is one of those players you wouldn’t want to leave out because he has several factors on his side. For example, he didn’t have too many opportunities but still scored a well-taken goal against Wolves in his last match. Even though he is unlikely to play 90 minutes, he could still be a valuable addition to your fantasy roster.
Others to consider: Timo Werner ($9,200)
Mason Mount ($7,700)
Apart from being the set-piece taker, Mount is also the playmaker for Chelsea, entrusted with controlling the spread of the ball in the middle of the field. He doesn’t shy away from taking some shots either, taking 24 so far this season, second-highest for Chelsea. He also helps out defensively, managing 25 successful tackles, third-most for Chelsea, as well as 13 interceptions, second-most for his club.
Ashley Westwood ($6,200)
Even though Dwight McNeil ($8,100) is the playmaker for Burnley, it’s often Westwood who controls where the ball goes in dead-ball situations. He also likes to test the keeper with speculative shots from outside the box. He has played every minute in the Premier League this season. He has also racked up 25 crosses in the last three games, often picking up the set pieces for Burnley. He has averaged a compelling 9.3 DKFP per game, too.
Others to consider: Christian Pulisic ($7,900)
Ben Chilwell ($6,900)
Chilwell’s price has increased significantly on DraftKings because his offensive proficiency is starting to become more apparent. He is leading Chelsea in assists, with three this season, primarily by swinging deliveries into the six-yard box with his left foot. He also assisted Giroud’s goal against Wolves in the previous game. Against a struggling West Ham team, you shouldn’t rule out a clean sheet either.
Nelson Semedo ($4,500)
One of the major reasons for backing Semedo on this slate is Burnley’s lack of production. Burnley has scored just six goals this season, comfortably the fewest in the league. Semedo has also been a force at the back, staying solid even in the face of intense late-game duress. He has 27 successful tackles so far this season, second highest in his club.
Rui Patricio ($5,100)
Apart from a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool, Patricio hasn’t conceded more than one goal in each of the last five games. And this is a bit of a tough period for Wolves without Jimenez. Patricio is likely to improve on his tally of four clean sheets this season against a Burnley team that can be too passive in the middle third. Patricio has averaged 6 DKFP per game.
Others to consider: Edouard Mendy ($5,800)
