Welcome to Week 14’s top fantasy football stacks analysis, where we’ll look at some of the best passing game options to consider for Sunday’s main DraftKings NFL slate. The concept to care about here is that quarterbacks and wide receivers generally have correlated fantasy point totals, meaning that one of them scoring points corresponds to the chances of the other one scoring points. For GPPs, we’ll want to keep an eye on ownership estimates, too, so the goal is to present a comprehensive breakdown of which passing game combinations could provide an edge in those DraftKings DFS tournaments.

5. Aaron Rodgers ($7,500)/Davante Adams ($9,300), Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions
The prices on Rodgers and Adams continue to climb, but the production has just been unbelievably consistent and the matchup couldn’t be much better either going into Detroit to face the Lions. Rodgers and Adams should be a popular combination, but the high price tags figure to keep that ownership within reason. One other factor that might keep the popularity in check for this duo is that Patrick Mahomes ($8,100) and Tyreek Hill ($8,500) are also pretty costly, and chasing the incredible recent performance there is probably going to eat up some of the high-end ownership. This isn’t to say that Rodgers and Adams are necessarily worth jamming into a lineup, but they probably are better choices than Mahomes and Hill.
4. Nick Mullens ($5,100)/Deebo Samuel ($6,400)/Brandon Aiyuk ($5,400), San Francisco 49ers vs. Washington Football Team
Despite the losing effort, the 49ers’ offense actually managed solid fantasy production against the Bills on Monday night, as Mullens wound up throwing for 316 yards despite a bad first half. Mullens has quietly been racking up plenty of yardage in his starts and the 49ers’ offense continues to be extremely low-owned week after week. This week’s matchup against the Football Team won’t be as conducive to fantasy scoring, but the low ownership on Mullens and also Samuel and Aiyuk makes for some decent appeal to this passing game.
3. Alex Smith ($5,200)/Terry McLaurin ($6,700), Washington Football Team at San Francisco 49ers
On the other side of the same game, the Football Team draws a matchup against a 49ers defense which has been extremely strong at times but also is just middle of the pack overall against the pass (16th in pass defense DVOA). Regardless of matchup, Smith and McLaurin are an appealing stack just based on McLaurin’s outright talent and his generally concentrated target share. Like the 49ers, this Washington duo should be fairly low owned as well, and there’s probably more upside in this spot than most people realize.
2. Tom Brady ($6,900)/ Chris Godwin ($6,300)/ Mike Evans ($6,600), Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Buccaneers have been extremely inconsistent in 2020, and while they did drop their second game in a row last time out, it was a solid fantasy game for Brady and his receivers. It’s possible that the Bucs come out stronger after their bye week, but either way, there’s just not enough attention going to a passing game that has so much talent and such affordable prices. The Bucs’ defense has also been declining in recent games, which means that the offense may continue to be counted on more heavily to keep pace with their opponents.
1. Kyler Murray ($7,200)/DeAndre Hopkins ($7,600), Arizona Cardinals at New York Giants
The Murray-Hopkins stack has had a few duds in a row and they’ll face a Giants defense that played extremely well last week in defeating Russell Wilson and the Seahawks in Seattle. The Giants’ defense still rates as just average overall in terms of DVOA, but even so, the ownership here is bound to be too low given the recent performance. With Adams, Hill and probably a handful of other top-end receivers garnering more attention, Hopkins once again makes for a strong pivot this week in GPPs.
