NFL MNF Best Bets: Monday Night Football Picks, Predictions, Odds to Consider on DraftKings Sportsbook for Seahawks vs. Eagles

Julian Edlow gives his best NFL bets to consider on DraftKings Sportsbook for Monday Night Football between the Seahawks and Eagles.

The Eagles have lost back-to-back games, fumbling away what looked like a pretty good grasp on the all-time bad NFC East. Sitting as six-point home dogs on MNF, here’s what jumps out on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Philadelphia Eagles

SEA -6

The Eagles have made things much more difficult on themselves in their division, but so have the Seahawks — just in a much better division. Seattle lost three of four games entering Thursday Night Football last week, and got a huge divisional win over Arizona. Now the Seahawks enter this Monday Night Football after having a ton of time off, giving them plenty of time to plan for Philadelphia. As poorly as Seattle’s defense has been, it has still allowed just 22 points per game over the last two contests. The Eagles have really been struggling to protect their QB, and it’s led to the offense being a mess. Reports indicate that the Eagles are giving some first-team reps to Jalen Hurts, but that Carson Wentz will still start the game. If you have two quarterbacks, you have none — expect the Eagles to be even more stagnant if they are switching signal callers in and out of the game. Russell Wilson, coming off another primetime win and cover, is now 26-11-3 in his career in primetime, per BetLabs. I’ll keep riding that trend.

Chris Carson Rushing Yards: OVER 50.5 (-112)

Carson has missed the last four games with a foot sprain, but is reportedly fully healthy for this game. Having been out since Week 7, we should expect some fresh legs from Carson, and potentially an expanded role. Head coach Pete Carroll said that while the offense was thriving early in the season with Wilson throwing the ball 40-50 times a game, it might be time to lean on the run more down the stretch — in turn, helping his defense stay off the field longer. Outside of the game he was injured in, Carson has rushed for over 50 yards in every game since Week 2. An expanded role against a Philly defense that ranks 28th in the NFL, allowing 133.4 rushing yards per game, seems like a good spot to play the over on a conservative number.

Player to have Most Passing Yards: Russell Wilson (-180) > Carson Wentz

Normally, I wouldn’t lay the juice on this one, but I think the Eagles hinting at a QB change gives us a potential advantage larger than the odds indicate. This one isn’t about passing yards per game so far this season or the matchup against the opposing defense, it’s just common sense. Yes, Seattle came out and said Wilson may throw less, but we know he’s the QB for the length of the full game. Wentz may surrender snaps to Hurts throughout the game, and who knows? Maybe Hurts looks good and Philly is prepared to just go with the rookie. Give me the better QB that will remain on the field in this matchup.
