Round 4 Recap — Sunday

Robert Streb wins the RSM Classic in a playoff

After leading following the second and third rounds, Streb ($6,300; 130.5 DKFP) needed extra holes to fend off a charging Kevin Kisner ($8,600; 119.0 DKFP), who fired a seven-under on Sunday. Streb shot just two-under, but he made a birdie on the second hole of the playoff while Kisner made par. Streb has a pair of wins on the PGA TOUR and both have come in a playoff at this event, with this win joining his 2014 victory. Streb hadn’t done much at all this season before this week, making just two of four cuts and not finishing in the top 20. Cameron Tringale ($7,200; 120.5 DKFP) was actually the second-best fantasy option with his solo third-place finish, while Andrew Landry ($6,300) and Bernd Wiesberger ($7,500) rounded out a top five loaded with values. — Zach Thompson

Cameron Tringale, Harris English rise up leaderboard with 62 on Sunday

Tringale ($7,200; 120.5 DKFP) finished alone in third place while English ($9,700; 104.5 DKFP) finished in a tie for sixth thanks to a pair of 62s on Sunday at the RSM Classic. Tringale, who was just 5.7% owned in the $400K 8-Iron contest on DraftKings, began the day in 11th place and shot his first bogey-free round of the week, which included five consecutive birdies on the front nine and three more on the back. English was a bit more popular at 20.1% ownership and began the day in 19th before a bogey-free round of his own. Kevin Kisner ($8,600; 119 DKFP), who finished in second, was one of three players to finish just one stroke off the low round, firing a seven-under 63. — Kenny Ducey

Round 3 Recap — Saturday

Robert Streb leads after third round of RSM Classic

Streb ($6,300) entered Saturday with a two-stroke lead at the RSM Classic, and he expanded his lead following the third round. He shot a score of three-under-par thanks to three birdies and zero bogeys, which pushed his score to 17-under-par for the tournament. That gives him a three-shot lead over Zach Johnson ($8,000) and Bronson Burgoon ($6,200), who are tied for second at 14-under-par. Streb was virtually unowned in DFS this week — he had an average ownership of 0.08% — so those who actually played him have a massive advantage on the rest of the field. Streb has become the odds-on betting favorite at +150 on the DraftKings Sportsbook, but Johnson isn’t far behind at +350. — Matt LaMarca

Zach Johnson, Emiliano Grillo vault into top five with rounds of 65

Zach Johnson ($8,000; 89.5 DKFP) and Emiliano Grillo ($7,000; 92.5 DKFP) both find themselves in the top five after three rounds at the RSM Classic thanks to rounds of 65 on Saturday. Johnson, who is 7.3% owned in the $400K 8-Iron contest on DraftKings, sunk three birdies on the front nine as well as three on the back and bogeyed just once to ride into the clubhouse with a 54-hole score of -14, while Grillo (4.6% owned) had a bit more volatile of a day. The Argentinian made four birdies and three bogeys through 12 before turning it on with an eagle on 15 and back-to-back birdies to finish his round. They’ll both give chase to leader Robert Streb ($6,300; 110 DKFP), who sits at -17, on Sunday. — Kenny Ducey

Round 2 Recap — Friday

Robert Streb leads after second round of RSM Classic

Streb ($6,300) shot a score of nine-under-par on Friday at the RSM Classic, which was tied for the best mark in the field. That pushes his overall score to 14-under-par and gives him a two-shot lead heading into the weekend. Camilo Villegas ($6,000) is in sole possession of second place at 12-under-par, while Bronson Burgoon ($6,200) and Patton Kizzire ($6,800) are tied for third at 11-under-par. This clearly was not a group that DFS-players expected to be contending. Kizzire was owned at approximately 5 percent and he was the only player in the group with an average ownership of greater than 1 percent. Streb has become the betting favorite at +450 on DraftKings Sportsbook, but Harris English ($9,700) isn’t far behind at +500. — Matt LaMarca

Webb Simpson survives cut at RSM Classic

DFS players let out a collective sigh of relief after Simpson ($11,200) made the cut at the RSM Classic. He finished exactly on the cut line at three-under-par, which puts him in a tie for 54th heading into the weekend. Simpson was extremely chalky in DFS this week, with his average ownership of approximately 51% across DraftKings tournaments easily leading the field. Unfortunately, the rest of the chalky golfers were not so fortunate. Denny McCarthy ($7,700), Brian Harman ($8,500), Harold Varner III ($7,400) and Doc Redman ($8,000) rounded out the top five in terms of average ownership and none of those players was able to qualify for the weekend. — Matt LaMarca

Round 1 Recap — Thursday

Matt Wallace tied for first-round lead at The RSM Classic

In field with 156 golfers, Wallace ($7,600; 57.0 DKFP) and Camilo Villegas ($6,000; 60.0 DKFP) both shot 6-under par and sit atop the leaderboard. The cheapest golfer in the field, nobody could have expected such a strong opening round from Villegas. He made six birdies and had a clean scorecard without a bogey. Villegas has 10 professional wins, but hasn’t won a tournament since 2014. Wallace’s last tournament win came in 2018 in Denmark. — Greg Ehrenberg

Webb Simpson finishes opening round of The RSM Classic 2-under and T31

Simpson ($11,200); 17.5 DKFP) is one of the biggest names playing the weekend following The Masters, which means even at a steep price, he commands massive ownership. Checking in at 43.5% owned in the $8 PGA Tour $400K 8-Iron, Simpson scored just 17.5 DKFP while shooting a 68. With 156 golfers in the field, Simpson will need a strong performance moving forward if he’s going to exceed value, particularly given his combination of high salary and ownership. — Julian Edlow
