Three of the four quarterfinals of NEST are scheduled for Friday. We take a look at picks to consider from each position for your DraftKings roster from the three-game slate.

Captain
Jiumeng ($11,400)
This decision is quite complicated considering ZWuji ($11,700) and his pyrotechnics this tournament. However, I’m going with Jiumeng on account of the matchup, against EDward Gaming. Jiumeng has also been consistent for Team WE over a longer period of time. He has come into this tournament on the back of a stellar summer split, in which he averaged 4.53 kills per game.
Other to consider: ZWuji ($11,700)
Top
New ($6,200)
New hasn’t quite had a solid NEST so far. That isn’t surprising considering the structure of this tournament. From an offensive standpoint, he has been quite reliable in the top lane. He can also be a bit too aggressive in trying to find kills. However, that aggression often translates into a higher fantasy output than a passive style.
Other to consider: Coten ($6,400)
Jungler
XLB ($6,800)
This is a bit of a contentious choice. Spending $6,800 on a jungler might not make much sense, especially against the might of FunPlus Phoenix. However, in a tournament like NEST, it’s important to identify regular starters from the LPL, and back them. XLB is one of those players. He had a terrific kill participation in the LPL (3.23 kills and 5.95 assists per map over 39 games).
Other to consider: Youxin ($6,600)
Mid
Wuming ($7,600)
Wuming didn’t have a major part to play in the summer season of the LPL. After a terrible start to summer, Wuming was brought in as a replacement. He had 2.44 kills and 5.33 assists per game in 18 maps. He has had a longer run at NEST, and has been given additional responsibility to guard the middle lane. He has responded with 118.8 DKFP per game, highest among all mid laners on this slate.
Other to consider: Insulator ($7,000)
ADC
ZWuji ($7,800)
ZWuji is leading the MVP race at this tournament. He has enjoyed an excellent campaign so far, leading Rogue Warriors to four map wins out of five. He was a consistent player for Rogue Warriors in the LPL as well, adding 2.78 kills to 5.5 assists over 36 maps. He is averaging a stunning 147.9 DKFP per game, easily the highest on this slate.
Other to consider: Lwx ($7,200)
Support
Crisp ($5,200)
Crisp is another vital addition to your fantasy roster, not just because of his inexpensive price but also because he is a reliable hedging play from a solid team. In 41 maps in the LPL’s summer split, he had 7.73 assists with close to one kill. Those are nice returns, by any standards, considering the competitiveness of the LPL.
Team
FunPlus Phoenix ($4,800)
After selecting your roster exactly the way specified as above, you will be left with $5,000 for your team. Royal Never Give Up ($5,000) is a reliable team, but the team is missing a few regular starters. FunPlus Phoenix is unbeaten at this tournament so far, while RNG has already been beaten in the group stage.
