Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for November 16

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Monday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 12:00 p.m. ET.

After another awesome Sunday of fantasy football, Week 10 in the NFL concludes with a matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. Before that game kicks off, though, the DraftKings Dream Stream has a solid three-game slate of Madden sims to start the work week with more fantasy football action. The games begin at 12 p.m. ET at virtual SoFi Stadium, with the Los Angeles Rams hosting the Houston Texans. The 2 p.m. ET matchup is another matchup from the NFC West as Sunday’s heroes, the Arizona Cardinals, host the Seattle Seahawks. At 4 p.m. ET, the final game of the classic slate gets underway as the Indianapolis Colts visit the Baltimore Ravens in a matchup of Baltimore’s new franchise and its old franchise.

An important note to remember is that each roster is not impacted by COVID-19 opt-outs or injuries, and the highest-rated options are at the top of the depth charts. The roster for each team includes all player movement that occurred prior to Week 1 of this season, and you can find the game settings, depth charts, abilities and X-factors for each team in Madden 21 along with the upcoming schedule on the Madden Stream info page.

Check out the daily DraftKings Madden Stream contests lobby with paid contests for real cash prizes now available alongside free contests. Each simulation will be played out computer vs. computer via an online Madden Stream using Madden 21. In this format, you can enjoy watching the game stream on the DraftKings YouTube channel, the DK Live app (download here) or right here in this post.

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals, $8,200 — The top three QB options on this slate are three of the best options in all of Madden 21 and each comes with elite upside. Of the three, though, Wilson has been the most consistent and also has the most favorable matchup. Wilson is averaging 24.3 DKFP per sim with 35 passing touchdowns and 11 rushing touchdowns in his 21 sims in Madden 21. He has averaged 195.0 passing yards and 66.9 rushing yards per sim and has put up over 27 DKFP in five of his past seven games. He hasn’t gone up against the Cardinals since all the way back in the preseason tournament, and in that contest, he had 18.86 DKFP with 199 yards and two touchdowns through the air. He has regularly been much better than that lately, and I think he’s the best of the three great options in play.

Other Options — Lamar Jackson ($8,400), Deshaun Watson ($7,900)

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks, $7,500 — Murray is more expensive than most of the value plays I highlight in this spot, but he is one of the three cheaper QBs on the slate. He hasn’t been quite in the same league as Wilson, Jackson and Watson on a regular basis, but does have a very high ceiling. The Cardinals’ official Twitter account recently drew attention to Kyler’s low Madden ratings, and it’s hard to argue their point after yesterday’s performance in real life. Murray in Madden 21 has averaged just under 20 DKFP per sim but has had a few monster games lately with 39.9 DKFP against the Raiders and 27.52 DKFP in his most recent contest against the Saints. While he has that kind of high ceiling, he does also have some very rough games and has also turned the ball over eight times in 19 sims. He’s higher risk than Wilson or the other top options, but he makes the most sense if you’re passing on those three elite plays and trying to differentiate your lineup while keeping a high ceiling.

Other Option — Jared Goff ($5,900)

Running Back

Kenyan Drake, Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks, $6,800 — There aren’t any elite top-tier RBs on this slate since many of these options lose rushing production to their QBs. The best of the bunch, though, has been Drake, who has scored seven touchdowns in his past five sims and is up to 16 in his 19 sims in Madden 21. Drake added eight catches against the Saints in his most recent sim and finished with 29.5 DKFP. He has over 23 DKFP in four of his past five contests dating back to a monster game against the Bucs in which he put up a sim-season-high 39.2 DKFP.

Other Options — Nyheim Hines ($6,200), Chris Carson ($5,800)

J.K. Dobbins, Baltimore Ravens vs. Indianapolis Colts, $3,700 — With highly-rated and high-priced QBs in play, you’ll need to save salary in some spot. Dobbins is a great chance to do that and still get good opportunities since he is the third-down and power back for the Ravens. He has scored four touchdowns since taking over those roles 16 sims ago and has averaged 7.5 DKFP per sim. He has only reached double-digit DKFP three times during his run, but he has produced over 6.0 DKFP in 12 of those 16 contests, so he’s usually good for a decent return at his salary under $4K if it allows you to get the stars you want in other spots.

Other Option — Darrell Henderson Jr. ($5,400), Duke Johnson ($4,000)

Wide Receiver

Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams vs. Houston Texans, $5,800 — The running QBs on this slate can sometimes lead to inconsistent production for their WRs, which is why there hasn’t been consistent volume even for big-time playmakers like DK Metcalf ($6,200) and Marquise Brown ($6,600). While Woods isn’t even the WR1 on his own team, he has been getting very good volume and makes a lot of sense as a WR play against the Texans’ struggling secondary. Bobby Trees has at least four catches in seven straight sims and has averaged 16.2 DKFP over that stretch, highlighted by four touchdowns and three games over 23 DKFP. Woods should be able to get open against the Texans and continue to offer good PPR production and steady play from under $6K.

Other Options — DK Metcalf ($6,200), T.Y. Hilton ($6,000)

Will Fuller V, Houston Texans at Los Angeles Rams, $5,300 — Fuller had been quiet for a few sims while Brandin Cooks ($5,100) went off, but Fuller bounced back with a big game in his most recent contest with eight catches, 72 yards, a touchdown and 21.2 DKFP against the Broncos. He’s averaging 10.7 DKFP per sim and has reached over 1,000 receiving yards in his 21 sims, averaging 3.3 catches for 48.0 yards per contest. If he can avoid getting locked down by Jalen Ramsey, he should be a solid play against the Rams and since Ramsey usually doesn’t shadow, it will all depend on the Texans’ formations.

Josh Reynolds, Los Angeles Rams vs. Houston Texans, $3,900 — Reynolds has been very involved with the Rams’ passing game as their WR3 and offers nice value under $4K. He had a monster performance with eight catches, two touchdowns and 33.9 DKFP against the Jets a few sims ago and has double-digit DKFP in five of his past nine sims to pull his average up to 10.9 DKFP in his 18 sims with a catch. The Texans’ secondary struggles against speedy WRs and Reynolds usually steps into that role on the outside with WR1 Cooper Kupp ($6,400) moving to the slot in three-WR sets.

Other Options — Tyler Lockett ($4,900), Zach Pascal ($4,100), Parris Campbell ($3,300)

Tight End

Trey Burton, Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens, $5,000 — Burton has been very reliable as the top TE for the Colts since the most recent roster update and has averaged 5.6 catches for 60.6 yards per sim over his past 13 games. He had somehow not found the end zone until his most recent sim but scored twice against the Patriots on his way to 27.4 DKFP in that contest. He has double-digit DKFP in each of his past six contests and has become one of virtual Philip Rivers’ ($5,700) favorite targets.

Other Options — Greg Olsen ($4,600), Tyler Higbee ($4,400)

Darren Fells, Houston Texans at Los Angeles Rams, $4,000 — While Fells hasn’t been quite as productive as Burton, he does usually get good volume from Watson. He has averaged 3.9 catches for 41.7 yards per sim and has at least three catches in four of his past five contests. His best game during that run came against the Ravens when he hauled in seven passes for 88 yards and 15.8 DKFP. Like Burton, Fells has been a solid option due to PPR production even though he hasn’t had a ton of touchdowns, with just one in his 21 sims.

Other Option — Maxx Williams ($3,700)

Seahawks DST at Arizona Cardinals, $3,200 — The Seahawks have been elite in these sims at forcing turnovers with big hitters Bobby Wagner and Jamal Adams creating fumbles on a regular basis. In 21 sims, the Seahawks have recovered 24 fumbles in addition to 43 sacks and two interceptions, helping them produce four defensive touchdowns and average 6.9 DKFP per sim. They will try to chase down Kyler, who has had some fumbling issues in these sims, so I expect at least one turnover with the potential for more depending on how the game flows.

Other Options — Rams ($3,100)

Texans DST at Los Angeles Rams, $2,900 — While the Texans’ secondary has been a mess, they do create turnovers with 12 takeaways in 21 sims and a solid total of 46 sacks. They don’t have a defensive touchdown yet, but they have still managed to produce 4.1 DKFP per sim. While they don’t bring the sky-high ceiling the Seahawks’ DST has shown, the Texans are a solid option if you don’t want to go against Kyler and are looking for a better matchup.
