We have some big-name offenses in the primetime games and on their bye this week. It’s really thinned out the RB pool, but there should be spend up spots at other positions that help us build strong DraftKings lineups. Here’s what jumps out in my first look at the Week 10 NFL slate.

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals vs. Buffalo Bills ($8,000) — Murray was already off to as consistent a start to the season as you could ask for, scoring more than 24 DKFP in each of his first six games. Since then, he’s hit another level, scoring 41 DKFP in consecutive games against Seattle and Miami. The Buffalo defense had success against Russell Wilson ($7,700) last week, but Russ still got his fantasy numbers. This should be a more difficult task for the Bills on the road. Murray’s rushing ability gives him as safe a floor as anyone, averaging 68 yards and a touchdown on the ground per game. He’s ran for a touchdown in seven of his eight games, on top of putting up elite passing numbers the last two games.
Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars ($7,900) — Rodgers has come through in every matchup this season, aside from on the road at Tampa. He’s going to have 10 days off heading into a layup matchup at home against Jacksonville. The only downside here is that Green Bay should have just as much success on the ground, and should build a large lead as two-touchdown favorites. It’s tough to imagine Rodgers busting in this spot, though. The rushing floor of Kyler for $100 more could lower Rodgers’ ownership, though.

Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks ($6,500) — Goff has been up and down this season, but there’s been no better spot to put up numbers than facing the Seahawks’ secondary. We just saw Josh Allen ($7,500) go for nearly 40 DKFP against them last week, and Murray’s 41-DKFP game was in this matchup as well. Seattle might be able to outscore the Rams and win this game, setting up a nice game stack, but Goff is actually the safer QB play. Goff’s lone 30-DKFP outing this season was at Buffalo — a similar matchup against the second-worst defense in DKFP allowed to QB. Seattle’s the only team worse. This is a great breakout spot for Goff. Look to stack him with Cooper Kupp ($6,900) and/or Robert Woods ($6,600), who both grade out as elite WR plays at a discount compared to the top priced plays.

Running Back

Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers ($8,200) — It’s a weaker slate this week to pay up for elite RBs, with names like Dalvin Cook, Derrick Henry and Ezekiel Elliott all off the main slate. Normally that would point us right to Kamara, but I’m not sure it’s the week to roster him, even with the lack of competition in his price range. The 49ers have actually allowed the fewest DKFP to RB so far this season, and that’s not even the biggest thing working against Kamara. He had just nine carries in the blowout win over the Bucs on SNF, and as nine-point favorites, this one could wind up a similar game script. The biggest deterrent to playing Kamara was the drop in targets with the Saints getting both their starting WRs back. After averaging double-digit targets over a three game span, Kamara was targeting just six times — his second-lowest of the season.
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars ($7,100) — If you’re leaning to a play like Murray over Rodgers, you can also leverage that play by rostering Jones as your stud RB play. Green Bay wanted to limit Jones as much as possible in the win over the 49ers, but he still wound up with 20 touches. As I mentioned, that’s the defense allowing the fewest DKFP to the position. The Jaguars rank 27th in DKFP allowed to RB, and game script points to a rested, healthier Jones getting plenty of touches.

Mike Davis, Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($4,000) — Christian McCaffrey returned to the field for the first time since Week 2, scoring 37.1 DKFP and showing he hadn’t missed a beat. After filling in admirably, Davis had just six touches, and was clearly nothing more than a backup moving forward. However, with reports surfacing that CMC will likely miss more time with a shoulder injury, we could get Davis back at a huge bargain. The Bucs are decent defensively against RBs, but at this price, Davis could wind up one of the chalkiest plays of the year, and a free space in cash.

Wide Receiver
Expensive
Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars ($9,000) — Whether you’re playing Rodgers, Jones or neither, there’s no reason not to consider Adams. The price tag could scare some away, but without the same options to pay up for at RB, it should be easier to fit Adams. The matchup against Jacksonville should be a cakewalk for Adams, who has 30 receptions for 422 yards and six touchdowns over the last three games combined, scoring at least 30 DKFP in each.
Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers at Miami Dolphins ($7,100) — Allen is one of the safest WR plays on a weekly basis, getting double digit targets in every game he’s been healthy with Justin Herbert ($6,600) as the starter. Allen’s averaging 23.4 DKFP in those six games, and has found the end zone in consecutive weeks. Miami has a good defense, but is still 26th in DKFP allowed to WR.

Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans at Cleveland Browns ($5,600) — Cooks got off to a slow start this season, hitting rock bottom with a goose egg in Week 4 in a plus matchup against the Vikings. Since then, he’s been a massive part of Houston’s offense, averaging 21.3 DKFP over four games. Cooks has been targeted at least nine times in each of those four games, and reached the end zone three times. The Browns rank 27th in DKFP allowed to WR.
Other Options: Jerry Jeudy ($5,600), Richie James ($4,000)
Tight End
Expensive
T.J. Hockenson, Detroit Lions vs. Washington Football Team ($5,100) — TE continues to be a dumpster fire. With Travis Kelce off the slate, Darren Waller ($5,900) is probably the safest play on the board if you can afford him. However, if the Lions wind up shorthanded at WR in this game, Hockenson could be in another good spot. He caught five of eight targets for 39 yards and a touchdown last week, and Washington ranks 31st in DKFP allowed to the position.
Cheap
Logan Thomas, Washington Football Team at Detroit Lions ($3,300) — I’m really struggling at TE this week. We might need some news later in the week to clarify a chalky/cheap play, but in the meantime, it’s slim pickings. For now, I don’t see anyone cheaper than Thomas I can make a case for. Engram and Ebron are nice targets between the Hockenson and Thomas price range.
Other Options: Evan Engram ($4,500), Eric Ebron ($4,400)
DST
Expensive
New York Giants DST ($2,700) vs. Philadelphia Eagles — The Giants have looked pretty solid on defense, and it’s been translating in fantasy. New York has scored 11 or more DKFP in three of the last five games and was solid with 5.0 DKFP at Philly. At home here against a bad Eagles offensive line and turnover-prone QB, there should be opportunities.
Cheap
Cincinnati Bengals DST ($2,100) at Pittsburgh Steelers — We got news that Ben Roethlisberger ($6,200) is on the COVID-19 list, which could impact his ability to play in this game Sunday. If he’s out, the Bengals obviously look like a much stronger play. Even if Ben does play, he didn’t look sharp in a layup matchup in Dallas and got injured during the game.
