Round 4 Recap — Sunday

Jason Kokrak shoots 64 to take home CJ Cup @ Shadow Creek

Kokrak ($7,000; 131.0 DKFP) shot a bogey-free, 8-under 64 on Sunday to take the CJ Cup @ Shadow Creek by two shots over Xander Schauffele ($10,300; 119.0 DKFP). The 35-year-old, who was 10.8% owned in the $450K Resurgence contest, began the day in a tie for second place before sinking eight birdies — including four in a row on the front nine — to give him 26 on the week. Schauffele garnered 25.5% ownership in the contest, but his 6-under 66 wasn’t enough to rise from second on the leaderboard. Tyrell Hatton ($9,600; 118.5 DKFP) and Russell Henley ($7,100; 112.0 DKFP) finished in a tie for third. — Kenny Ducey

Russell Henley slips to third-place finish at CJ Cup

The leader by threes strokes to begin the day, Henley ($7,100; 112.5 DKFP) managed to shoot just a 2-under 70 on Sunday to slip into a tie for third place at the conclusion of the CJ Cup @ Shadow Creek. The 31-year-old, who went off at 12.6% ownership in the $450K Resurgence contest, bogeyed three holes on his final round and managed to finish three shots back of winner Jason Kokrak ($7,000; 131.0 DKFP). Henley finishes his week with 20 birdies and an eagle to go along with 46 pars and five bogeys. He earned some extra points for his third-place finish and a birdie streak in round three. — Kenny Ducey

Round 3 Recap — Saturday

Russell Henley remains atop CJ Cup leaderboard after 67 on Saturday

Henley ($7,100; 106 DKFP) added to his monster week on Saturday, pouring in five more birdies to card a bogey-free, five-under 67. Henley, who is 12.6% owned in the $450K Resurgence contest, began the back nine with a trio of birdies, adding the birdie streak bonus to his ledger and giving him 15 in total for his tournament. He holds a three-shot lead over four players going into Sunday’s final round: Lanto Griffin ($6,300; 88 DKFP), Talor Gooch ($6,200; 93 DKFP), Jason Kokrak ($7,000; 86 DKFP) and Xander Schauffele ($10,300; 90.5 DKFP). Henley’s currently the favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook to lift the trophy at the CJ Cup with +150 odds, while Schauffele has the next-best odds at +300.

Bubba Watson cards best round Saturday at CJ Cup

Watson ($7,300) had everything working Saturday at Shadow Creek Golf Course. He shot a score of seven-under-par 65, which was the top mark on the golf course. He was red-hot on the front-nine, posting six birdies and three pars, and he added another two birdies and a bogey over the back-nine. Despite the excellent round, Watson’s overall score of eight-under-par still puts him well behind leader Russell Henley ($7,100). Still, Watson did move into the top 10, which should satisfy those who rostered him across approximately 15.75% of lineups on DraftKings. A group of four golfers finished the day just behind Watson at six-under-par, headlined by Rory McIlroy ($10,600) and Jason Day ($8,300).

Round 2 Recap — Friday

Xander Schauffele makes six birdies in a row to move up the leaderboard

Schauffele ($10,300; 90.5 DKFP) got off to a ridiculously hot start on Friday. He birdied seven of the first nine holes, including a stretch with six consecutive birdies. This moved Schauffele into the lead, a spot which he held onto for the rest of the day. He’s now 14-under par and has a three-stroke lead at the CJ Cup. This gives Schauffele really strong odds to win according to the DK Sportsbook. At -120, he’s a prohibitive favorite for a golf tournament that is only halfway finished.

Collin Morikawa, Talor Gooch go low Friday at CJ Cup

Morikawa ($9,500) and Gooch ($6,200) were among the best players on the course Friday at the CJ Cup. Both players shot a score of seven-under-par, which was tied for the second-lowest of the day. Xander Schauffele ($10,300) had the best round on Friday at eight-under-par, which pushes his score to 14-under-par for the tournament. Gooch and Morikawa vaulted themselves into the top five heading into Saturday, but they still sit five and six shots back of Schauffele, respectively. Morikawa was a popular DFS option this week, with his average ownership of 17.5% representing the eighth-highest mark in the field. Gooch was a much more contrarian play, checking in with an approximate average ownership of just 3.15%.
