Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for October 28

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Wednesday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

It’s another wild weather Wednesday on the DraftKings Dream Stream, which means all six of the day’s Madden 21 streams will be played out with weather elements activated. The featured slate is the classic contest that includes the final three games of the day, beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET when the Arizona Cardinals fly to the Northeast to take on the Buffalo Bills in the snow. In primetime at 8:00 p.m. ET, there’s a potential Super Bowl preview between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks, which will take place in the rain. It will be windy for the final sim of the day, which kicks off at 10:00 p.m. ET and features the Las Vegas Raiders visiting the San Francisco 49ers.

The roster for each team includes all player movement that occurred prior to Week 1 of this season and you can find the depth charts, abilities and X-factors for Madden 21 along with the upcoming schedule on the Madden Stream info page. The rosters have also been adjusted to get the best players on the field and will not be impacted by any COVID-19 opt-outs or injuries.

Check out the daily DraftKings Madden Stream contests lobby with paid contests for real cash prizes now available alongside free contests. Each simulation will be played out computer vs. computer via an online Madden Stream using Madden 21. In this format, you can enjoy watching the game stream on the DraftKings YouTube channel, the DK Live app (download here) or right here in this post.

Quarterback

Stud

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks vs. Kansas City Chiefs, $7,500 — These two teams met a few sims ago and played a very entertaining 35-28 game that the Chiefs ultimately won. Both QBs had strong games in that meeting with Wilson posting 26.36 DKFP and Patrick Mahomes ($8,100) finishing with 27.48 DKFP. Both QBs have been consistently excellent in Madden 21 so far and have a lot of upside as a result. I lean slightly towards Wilson in this rematch due to the weather, which could make the running game more important, where he is much more involved than Mahomes. Wilson is averaging 61.1 rushing yards per sim and has added eight rushing scores to his 28 passing touchdowns in just 16 sims. He has been very consistent and has posted over 23 DKFP in five of his past six games. Even if the passing game isn’t working, Wilson is still a great fantasy play in this home matchup in rainy Seattle.

Other Option — Patrick Mahomes ($8,100)

Value

Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders at San Francisco 49ers, $6,200 — Carr has thrown multiple touchdowns in four straight sims with over 225 yards and over 17 DKFP per contest. He had his second four-touchdown game in Madden 21 recently against New England and finished with 26.58 DKFP. Carr can be hit-or-miss, but he has more potential than the other bargain QBs even in this windy matchup. His WRs have great speed and can pick up big gains if he gets them in space, and the 49ers haven’t been a stay-away matchup to this point in Madden 21.

Other Option — Kyler Murray ($6,900)

Running Back

Stud

Raheem Mostert, San Francisco 49ers vs. Las Vegas Raiders, $7,700 — Mostert has been healthy and able to carry the load for the 49ers in simland, and he gets a juicy matchup against the Raiders on this slate. Mostert is averaging 21.5 DKFP per sim by running for 76.7 yards and adding 3.4 catches for 27.4 receiving yards per contest. He has found the end zone 19 times in just 16 sims and has over 19 DKFP in 10 of his past 12 contests. The Raiders have struggled against RBs, so Mostert should be ready to feast in a run-heavy game plan, which could be even more tilted his direction due to the wind.

Other Option — Kenyan Drake ($7,000), Devin Singletary ($5,700)

Value

Chris Carson, Seattle Seahawks vs. Kansas City Chiefs, $5,400 — This is a tough slate to find much value at RB since most of the work for these six teams is handled by their RB1 (with the exception of the Raiders). Carson has been the RB1, third-down back and power back in Madden 21 for Seattle, so he gets all the RB work but has still lost significant work to his QB Russell Wilson, who takes off and runs on a regular basis. However, Carson has still been steady, averaging 53.7 rushing yards and 1.7 catches for 9.8 receiving yards per contest. He has scored seven touchdowns and averaged 10.7 DKFP overall, but 6-of-7 scores have come at home, where he’s averaging 12.5 DKFP per sim. Since this game is at home in the rain, Carson could be even more involved than usual which makes him a solid mid-range option even though his ceiling is limited.

Other Option — Josh Jacobs ($4,600)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks, $7,700 — Hill’s 99 speed rating is the only perfect speed rating in all of Madden, and he also has the “RAC ‘em up” X-factor. He has been a fantasy monster in these sims, piling up 18 touchdowns in 19 contests and averaging 6.1 catches for 87.3 yards per sim. He had one of his rare down performances the last time he faced the Seahawks with only 7.9 DKFP but has bounced back with over 19 DKFP in four of his five games since, including a pair of 10-catch performances. His volume and big-play ability should set him up for more success in this rematch with Seattle, who has struggled defending WR throughout these sims.

Other Option — Tyrell Williams ($6,900), DK Metcalf ($6,700)

Value

Henry Ruggs III, Las Vegas Raiders at San Francisco 49ers, $5,100 — Ruggs isn’t quite as fast as Hill, according to his 98 speed rating in Madden, but he’s the only player who comes close and has been able to be a nice big-play threat in his 15 sims in Madden 21. Ruggs is averaging 4.0 catches for 50.7 yards per game and has at least four catches in three straight contests and eight of his past nine. He probably will avoid Richard Sherman, for the most part, who will focus on WR1 Tyrell Williams ($6,900), leaving Ruggs in a more favorable matchup on the other side.

Demarcus Robinson, Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks, $3,600 — Robinson helped pick up the slack when Hill was quiet in the earlier sim against Seattle. He finished that game with six catches, 59 yards, a touchdown and 17.9 DKFP. He had a similar performance in his most recent sim as well, hauling in four catches for 85 yards, a touchdown and 18.5 DKFP against the Steelers. He has plenty of upside in the Chiefs’ passing attack and has multiple catches in 14 of his past 15 sims. Even though there are so many options in the offense, Robinson typically gets involved enough to be a great play under $4K even in the rain.

Other Options — Deebo Samuel ($4,600), Larry Fitzgerald ($4,000)

Tight End

Stud

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks, $7,000 — This is an elite slate for TEs but even with the best other options in Madden 21, Kelce stands out as the top play. He is averaging 6.5 catches per sim and has turned that high volume into 78.8 yards per contest. In 19 sims, Kelce has 12 touchdowns and has over 16 DKFP in each of his past four games, highlighted by 33.7 DKFP in his most recent sim against Pittsburgh. He had a touchdown and 14.7 DKFP in his earlier matchup with the Seahawks and should return at least that level of production in the rematch while also bringing a very high ceiling.

Other Options — George Kittle ($6,200), Darren Waller ($5,500)

Value

Lee Smith, Buffalo Bills vs. Arizona Cardinals, $3,400 — If you need to go cheap at TE or your flex spot, Smith is worth a look since he is the Bills’ TE1 and gets enough work that he should be able to take advantage of this matchup with the Cardinals, who struggle against TEs. Smith has multiple catches in four straight games and has averaged 4.3 catches for 45.25 DKFP per game over that stretch. He had over 14 DKFP in two of those sims and would be a great investment at this salary if he can reach that level once again.

Other Options — Greg Olsen ($4,600), Maxx Williams ($3,900)

DST

Stud

Seahawks DST vs. Kansas City Chiefs, $3,200 — Despite the difficult matchup with the Chiefs, the Seahawks should be a nice option at DST since they force so many turnovers with their hard-hitting wrecking crew led by Bobby Wagner and Jamal Adams. Seattle has recovered 20 fumbles in its 16 sims while also adding two interceptions, 36 sacks, a safety and four defensive touchdowns. In the Seahawks’ recent matchup with KC, they had 10 DKFP, and the weather should only help them be more of a force in this rematch. They will likely give up points and yards but can still produce a good fantasy total since they always seem to make big plays.

Other Option — 49ers ($2,900)

Value

Cardinals DST at Buffalo Bills, $2,800 — The Cardinals’ defense gets a good matchup in the snow against the Bills. Buffalo has struggled to get much going on offense, and Arizona has 29 sacks in its 15 sims with five takeaways and a defensive touchdown. The Cards also have a healthy Chandler Jones to lead the pass rush in simland, and they have been strong enough to be the best pivot play if you want to stay away from having to face the Chiefs.
