Tampa Bay Rays at Los Angeles Dodgers

Rays Over 3.5 Runs (-109)

The Rays haven’t been great offensively in this series, scoring three runs or fewer in three of five games. It’s no coincidence that they lost all three of those contests. However, it’s worth noting that all three of those games were started by either Clayton Kershaw or Walker Buehler, so they were dealing with uphill battles from the get go. For their careers, they have a 2.75 FIP and a 3.23 FIP, respectively.

In the Rays’ two wins in the series, they scored at least six runs both times. One of them was a matchup against Tony Gonsolin, who will be the starter for Game 6. He only lasted 1 1/3 innings, giving up one run along the way. The Dodgers’ bullpen couldn’t back him up, which eventually resulted in the Rays scoring a total of six runs. In what could be another bullpen contest for the Dodgers, look for the Rays to once again provide one of their better offensive performances of the series. This wager is even more appealing when you consider the odds.

Randy Arozarena Over 0.5 Hits (-182)

Talk about a playoff run for the ages. Arozarena has been as good as it gets, hitting 27-for-73 (.370) with nine home runs and a 1.247 OPS. After being held hitless in Game 1, he’s recorded at least one hit in each of the last four games. That included him mashing two home runs. Going back even further, Arozarena now has at least one hit in 10 of the last 12 games. Add how hot he’s been to the Dodgers likely having to get most of their innings from their bullpen, it’s difficult to envision a scenario in which Arozarena doesn’t come away with at least one hit in an effort to try and help the Rays stave off elimination.
