Round 4 Recap — Sunday
Patrick Cantlay shoots 65 to take home ZOZO Championship
Cantlay ($9,400; 143.5 DKFP) began the day in fourth, three shots behind leader Justin Thomas ($10,600; 123.5 DKFP) before firing a 7-under 65 on Sunday to take home the title at the ZOZO Championship. Cantlay, who was 8.9% owned in the $500K Resurgence contest, poured in nine birdies to bring his weekly total to 25, and bogeyed his first two holes of the tournament. Cantlay hit the birdie streak bonus during his final round, and also picked up the bonus for not eclipsing 70 during any of his rounds. Thomas shot 69 to finish in a tie for second with Jon Rahm ($11,000; 130.0 DKFP). — Kenny Ducey
Russell Henley’s final-round 66 lands him top five finish at ZOZO Championship
Henley ($8,100; 119.0 DKFP) was back in 15th place to begin the day at the ZOZO Championship, but when all was said and done on Sunday the 31-year-old found himself in a tie for fourth thanks to a 6-under 66. Henley landed in the winning lineup of the $500K Resurgence contest, where he garnered 14.3% ownership. He sunk six birdie putts during his second bogey-free round of the week, bringing his four-day total to 24 to go along with five bogeys and 43 pars. It’s Henley’s second straight top-five finish, coming on the heels of a T3 at the CJ Cup @ Shadow Creek. He had four top-10 finishes in 20 events last year, and just two in 25 events the year prior. — Kenny Ducey
Round 3 Recap — Saturday
Justin Thomas fires 67 to remain atop ZOZO Championship leaderboard
Thomas ($10,600; 120.5 DKFP) entered Saturday with a one-shot lead over Lanto Griffin ($7,000; 102 DKFP), and did just enough to fend off Griffin and a big round from Jon Rahm ($11,000; 103 DKFP) with a five-under-par 67. Thomas, who is owned in 22% of lineups in the $500K Resurgence contest, remains in front by one over Rahm, who shot a nine-under-par 63. The world No. 3 birdied three holes on the front nine before bogeying eight, but responded with three birdies on the closing nine, including one a few holes later at 11. It brings his total to 20 over the 54 holes he’s played to go along with an eagle and 30 pars. He hit the birdie streak bonus on Thursday and Friday, and earned some extra fantasy points for his bogey-free second round. — Kenny Ducey
Jon Rahm goes low on moving day at ZOZO Championship
Rahm entered Saturday’s third round of the ZOZO Championship well behind the leaders, but he will get to play in the final pairing on Sunday. He posted the best score on the course Saturday, firing a nine-under-par 63. He recorded seven birdies and one eagle on his scorecard without registering a single bogey. Rahm moved to 18-under-par for the tournament, which puts him just one shot behind Justin Thomas for the lead. Rahm was a very popular DFS target this week — his approximate ownership of 21.96% was the fifth-highest mark in the field — so plenty of people were happy to see him get into contention. He also moved to +225 to win the tournament on DraftKings Sportsbook. — Matt LaMarca

Round 2 Recap — Friday
Justin Thomas moves into the lead at the ZOZO Championship
For the second consecutive day, Thomas ($10,600; 97.5 DKFP) shot a seven-under par round of 65. After finishing on fire on Thursday, he carried that over to Friday’s round, setting him up with a good chance to win the tournament heading into the weekend. Thomas (+250) is a sizable favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook and there isn’t another golfer in the field with odds better than +1100. There is extra reason for confidence in Thomas since he didn’t make a single bogey today. — Greg Ehrenberg
Richy Werenski puts himself in contention after second round of ZOZO Championship
Werenski ($6,300) entered Friday’s second round of the ZOZO Championship well behind the leaders at even par, but he’s jumped all the way up to a tie for sixth place heading into the weekend. He fired an 11-under-par 61 on Friday, which was the top mark on the course by two strokes. Following his excellent round, Werenski now trails the leaders by just three strokes. He’s still considered a long shot to actually win the tournament — he’s listed at +10000 on the DraftKings Sportsbook — but he could be one of the most important DFS plays of the week. He was owned across an average of just 2.12% of DraftKings tournament lineups. Bubba Watson ($8,700) and Patrick Reed ($9,600) also put themselves in contention after shooting nine-under-par. — Matt LaMarca

Round 1 Recap — Thursday
Sebastian Munoz holes out twice from the fairway to take first-round lead at ZOZO Championship
Munoz ($7,200; 73.5 DKFP) was on fire with his approach game today. He made a pair of eagles from the fairway en route to an 8-under par round of 64 in his first round of the ZOZO Championship. Munoz was all over the place and barely made any pars today. Instead, he traded bogeys with birdies and eagles. Munoz capped his round with eight birdies and two eagles to put up the best fantasy score of the day by a wide margin. — Greg Ehrenberg
Tyrell Hatton, Justin Thomas tied for second at ZOZO Championship
Hatton ($10,000; 51.0 DKFP) approached the 16th green with the lead, but a bogey would ultimately land him in a tie for second place when his first round was over on Thursday. All told, Hatton, who went 11.2% owned in the $500K Resurgence contest, finished with eight birdies on the day, including a streak from holes nine to 11, to go along with his lone bogey of the day on the par-five 16th. Justin Thomas ($10,600; 55.0 DKFP), who was 22% owned, had a slightly better day from a DFS perspective, with seven birdies and an eagle after bogeying two holes on the front nine. He also hit the birdie streak bonus, following up his eagle on 16 with birdies on 17 and 18. — Kenny Ducey
