As we enter game week six in the English Premier League (EPL), only two teams remain unbeaten. Aston Villa is the only side with a 100 percent record while Everton ended the last slate of fixtures in first place, having taken 13 points from their five matches. Villa has a chance to go the top if they beat Leeds on Friday, while Everton travels to Southampton in a fixture that will prove to be a challenge. Last weekend, there were six ties in the 10 games, which was the most this season. What will this weekend’s games bring? Here are some bets that stand out to me on DraftKings Sportsbook for this weekend’s slate of games.

West Ham vs. Manchester City
Both teams to score (-177)

To say City has dominated recent meetings with West Ham would be an understatement. Pep Guardiola’s team has won the last nine contests in all competitions by a combined score of 30-3. City has also won the last four while keeping the Hammers scoreless. However, this is a much improved West Ham side that has taken seven points from their last three games. In those matches, the Hammers have racked up 10 goals, so City should not have everything their own way this time. City has managed to score a goal in the first half of each of their four EPL games this season and with Sergio Aguero back fit, they will be looking to take control of this game early. City will hope to have the game wrapped up before the closing stages. West Ham has scored five goals in the final 10 minutes of their previous three games.

Fulham vs. Crystal Palace
ML: Crystal Palace to win (+175)

Fulham’s search for their first win back in the top flight continues and their matchup with Palace is certainly a game they will be targeting all three points at Craven Cottage. There hasn’t been too many positives for Fulham so far this season, but the fact they have tightened up their defense to concede just one goal in each of their last two games suggests they are moving in the right direction. Fulham’s biggest issue is stopping their opponents from scoring in the second half. The Londoners have given up a second half goal in all five matches this season and Palace (-115) will be looking to capitalize on that. Palace won the last two league meetings 2-0 during the 2018-19 campaign and will be favorites to win this one by two goals or more. Incidentally, Jeffrey Schlupp scored in both those meetings so Fulham will be wise to cover him to ensure Schlupp (+540) doesn’t make it three games in a row with a goal against the Cottagers.

Liverpool vs. Sheffield United
Liverpool to score both halves (-132)

The champions have to put the serious knee injury to Virgil Van Dijk behind them and regroup without one of their on-field leaders. His absence in the heart of the Reds’ defense will give Sheffield United hope, and boy do they need that. One point from their opening five fixtures is a disappointing return for a side that performed so well last season. United has lost four of their last five meetings with Liverpool in shutouts and that includes the previous three. Not facing Van Dijk should help the Blades, who have the worst offense in the league, end that run and score just their third goal of the season. United’s only two EPL goals this season have come in the 84th minute and 85th minute of their last two games. Liverpool has given up more goals in the first half (8) than they have scored (7) but they have managed to score in the second half of all five league games.

Southampton vs. Everton
Both teams to score (-165)

It’s been a long time since Everton was sitting pretty at top end of the standings and while they have worked hard to get there after five games, the work gets harder staying there. Suddenly, Carlo Ancelotti’s side has a target on their back as teams want to be the first to beat the Toffees. A trip to Southampton will be another tough test a week after facing the champions. In Everton’s last four games, there have been goals for them and their opponents while Southampton showed their powers of recovery to rally from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to take a point at Chelsea last weekend thanks to a last gasp equalizer. Don’t be surprised if both Southampton and Everton score in this contest given the fact it has happened the last seven times these two clubs have met each other.

Wolves vs. Newcastle
Both teams to score (+108)

Watching these two teams this season has left many pundits scratching their heads as they have produced some mixed results. Any outcome is possible in this contest. Newcastle collapsed in the closing stages last weekend against Manchester United, conceding three late goals to lose 4-1, while Wolves made hard work of beating Fulham 1-0. The last three meetings have ended 1-1 so another 1-1 tie (+540) cannot be ruled out. A safer bet might be for both teams to score, which has happened in the last four meetings as well as Newcastle’s previous three games this season. The first goal has been crucial in Wolves’ four EPL games so far this season. They have opened the scoring twice and won both games while losing the two games they have given up the first goal. Both Wolves (-245) and Newcastle (+170) will want to score first, but who will manage to do so?
