The women’s high jump final is set for Saturday, August 7 at 7:35 p.m. locally in Tokyo. That means that Americans will have to be up bright and early — 6:45 a.m. ET — to watch the high jump event live.
The race will air live via online stream on Peacock, at NBCOlympics.com and through the NBC Sports mobile app. You’ll need a cable subscription for access. It will then air on replay in prime time on NBC starting at 8 p.m. ET. If you aren’t in front of a TV, you can also get a trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the event.
DraftKings Sportsbook has Ukraine’s Yaroslava Mahuchikh favored to take home the gold in the women’s high jump at the Tokyo Summer Olympics, with odds at -145. She’s most closely followed by Australia’s Nicola McDermott at +300, the ROC’s Mariya Lasitskene (+300) and Vashti Cunningham (+400) of the USA.
The best high jump performance so far in 2021 came from Yaroslava Mahuchikh last month while training in Stokholm. She posted a 2.03 — quite close to the Olympic Record of 2.06 set by Yelena Slesarenko of Russia in 2004.
