The 2021 Tokyo Olympics come to a close on Sunday, August 8 with 15 gold medals to be handed out. The remaining events will across NBC, NBC Sports Network, USA, and CNBC. Everything will actually start Saturday evening in the United States when the men’s marathon starts at 6 p.m. ET. It closes with the men’s water polo gold medal match between Greece and Serbia starting at 3:30 a.m. ET.
If you are not in front of a television, NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports mobile app will both offer streaming coverage, but you’ll need a cable subscription for access. If you don’t have one, you can get a trial through YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the various contests on the final day of the Olympics.
The marathon is always a high profile one given its ancient Greece origins. However, for US viewers, there are several big events. The women’s basketball team will tip off their gold medal game with Japan at 10:30 p.m. ET Saturday night. The women’s volleyball team will follow with a 12:30 a.m. gold medal match against Brazil. Two American boxers will close in gold medal bouts with Keyshawn Davis fighting for lightweight gold at 1:15 a.m. and Richard Torrez, Jr. competing for super heavyweight gold at 2:15 a.m.
