Game night update: USA-France tips at 10:30 p.m. ET Friday night, 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning in Tokyo. 20 minutes before tip, Team USA is a 13-point favorite and installed at -900 moneyline odds at DraftKings Sportsbook. France is a +600 underdog, but the +13 is slightly juiced to -115. Total points sits at 174.5 with the over slightly juiced to -115.

The latest betting splits from DraftKings have 71% of handle and 69% of bets on the US to cover the spread and 69% of handle and 80% of bets are on the US to win outright. 74% of handle and 61% of bets are on the point total going over 174.5.

The United States will face a familiar foe in the gold medal match when it matches up with France. The Americans lost to the French in the opening game of pool play due to a poor shooting performance and Evan Fournier having a breakout game. Team USA will hope to avoid a repeat of that performance in the most important match of the competition. The game will take place Friday, August 6 at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

If you are not in front of a television, Peacock and NBCOlympics.com will live stream the match. You’ll need a cable subscription for access. If you don’t have one, you can get a free trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the match. You can also watch on the NBC Sports mobile app.

USA will continue to lean on Kevin Durant and Damian Lillard, although this group will need some contributions from Bam Adebayo and Zach LaVine to hold off France. Durant has the chance to cement his legacy on the international stage as the leader of this team. He’s had a historic Olympics; can he cap it off with a massive outing in the gold medal match?

France has not reached this stage since the 2000 Games in Sydney, where it lost the gold medal match to USA. Rudy Gobert, Evan Fournier and Nicolas Batum will be instrumental to pulling off another upset in the final, although this group will have some confidence after beating the Americans in the opening game. The question is whether anyone on France will be able to contain Durant.
