The women’s javelin final is set for Friday, August 6. It is the lone field event for the day. The field has 12 athletes participating, including American Maggie Malone. Malone had the best throw in the qualification round for Group B at 63.07 meters on Monday. But Poland’s Maria Andrejczyk is the favorite win the event after her throw of 65.24 meters in the qualification round for Group A.
The race will air live via online stream on Peacock, at NBCOlympics.com and through the NBC Sports mobile app. You’ll need a cable subscription for access. It will then air on replay in prime time on NBC starting at 8 p.m. ET. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Andrejczyk is the favorite to win the gold medal for the women’s javelin with -120 odds. Right behind the Polish thrower is Malone, who along with Christin Hussing of Germany are tied with the second-best odds to win goal at +400.
