The 2021 Tokyo Olympics boxing slate is rapidly approaching its close, and Friday morning brings the literal heavyweights of the sport competing for gold. Friday’s schedule features semifinal bouts for women’s middleweight and men’s lightweight, and then closes with the heavyweight division’s gold medal bout.
The slate gets going at 1 a.m. ET and fights run roughly every 15 minutes. The day wraps at 2:15 a.m. when Muslim Gadzhimagomedov (ROC/Russia) and Julio La Cruz (Cuba) face off at 2:05 a.m. for heavyweight (non-super) supremacy. Top-seeded Gadzhimagomedov is the favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, installed at -265, while La Cruz is a +210 underdog.
The seven fights will air live via stream at NBCOlympics.com and through the NBC Sports mobile app. You’ll need a cable subscription for access. It will then air on replay at 2:30 p.m. ET Friday afternoon on USA. If you don’t have cable or won’t be in front of a TV, you can also get a trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the fights.
