Olympic baseball bracket: What the 2021 double elimination looks like for the USA

The Olympic baseball tournament has reached the knockout round. We break down the bracket.

The 2021 Tokyo Olympics are into the last week of action and by Saturday, August 7, we’ll have a gold medal winner in the baseball bracket. Group play wrapped on July 31st and the double elimination tournament is into the second round.

The six-team tournament was broken into two groups of three. Japan was Group A with two wins, followed by the Dominican Republic (1-1) in second, and Mexico (0-2) in third. The United States won Group B with a 2-0 record, followed by South Korea (1-1) and Israel (0-2).

Japan and the US received byes into the second round, while third-place Israel faced third-place Mexico and second-place Dominican Republic faced second-place South Korea. Below is the full double-elimination bracket and we’ll update as the week progresses.
