Two new mixed-gender events highlight the program of Day 8 of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, one in swimming and one in track and field. That and plenty of other preliminary and medal round action will be available via the internet as well as free over-the-air TV on Friday night and Saturday morning.
If you are not in front of a television, NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports mobile app will both offer streaming coverage, but you’ll need a cable subscription for access. If you don’t have one, you can get a free trial for USA and NBC Sports Network through YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the contests.
The first-ever co-ed gold medals in both swimming and track and field will make history. The Mixed 4 x 100m Medley Relay Final has the United States as the second choice to Great Britain in the pool, but on the track the 4x400 Mixed Relay should have the USA with a great chance for gold despite the bad officiating in the preliminaries.
Also keep an eye out for medals in windsurfing, fencing, judo, weightlifting, women’s tennis, and plenty more. If you’re up late, there’s always something fun to watch.
