Full swimming schedule for Friday, July 30th in the Tokyo 2021 Summer Olympics

There are four events for medals tonight at the Tokyo Aquatics Center, with them all coming between 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. ET in the United States.

The Women’s 200m Breaststroke Final sees Tatjana Schoenmaker of South Africa the overwhelming favorite at -1600 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Annie Lazor and previous gold medalist Lilly King both check in at +800 to pull the upset.

In the Men’s 200m Backstroke Final, Evgeny Rylov of the ROC team checks in at -360 as the favorite. Ryan Murphy of the USA is +500 to win, but -500 to take a medal as the third choice by the odds. Murphy was .93 seconds behind Rylov in semifinal qualifying times.

The USA likely won’t make it two in a row in the 100’s during the Women’s 100m Freestyle Final, as Emma McKeon of Australia is the Lane 4 qualifier. She sits at -330 at DK Sportsbook, with Sibohan Haughey of Hong Kong the next choice at +350. Abbey Weitzeil of the United States will be in Lane 1, but is a 50-1 shot to win gold.

And the last of the medal events in the early round will be the Men’s 200m Individual Medley Final, where Team USA’s Michael Andrew is the -1200 chalk to win the four-stroke, four-lap event. Andrew finished fourth in qualification and will start in Lane 6, but he remains the overwhelming choice to take home the gold thanks to his 1:55.26 at the Olympic Trials which will likely be plenty to win tonight.

You’ll also see the first round of qualifications for the Men’s and Women’s 50m freestyle, aka the “splash and dash.” Look for plenty of swimmers to never even take a breath from the starting blocks to the wall 164 feet away.
