Two sports with a large following in the United States will be available during morning rush hour on the east coast Tuesday morning. Both USA Softball and USA Gymnastics look to finish off their heavily-favored bids for gold in the 7 a.m. hour., which is 8:00 p.m. in Tokyo.
If you are not in front of a television, NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports mobile app will both offer streaming coverage, but you’ll need a cable subscription for access. If you don’t have one, you can get a free trial for USA and NBC Sports Network through YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the contests. Additionally, Peacock will offer coverage of USA Gymnastics.
Most American eyes tonight will be on the Ariake Gymnastics Center, as Simone Biles and her teammates go for gold in the Women’s Gymnastics Team Final. The USA is a heavy -500 favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, despite finishing second in the qualification round. Biles is on pace to become one of the most decorated Olympians ever, and this is her first shot at what might be five medals in Tokyo.
Also scheduled for the same time is the gold medal final of Olympic softball, as the United States will take on Japan in a one-game final. With Typhoon Nepartak forecast to head just north of Tokyo, it remains to be seen how the outdoor sports will be affected. But it could be a huge morning for the USA in two sports they’re expected to win.
