Full swimming schedule for Tuesday, July 27th in the Tokyo 2021 Summer Olympics

It’s another final that will pit the best of Australia against the best of the USA in the pool, but this time it’s in the women’s 100-meter backstroke during Tuesday, July 27th’s action at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The women’s 100-meter backstroke is another battle of Aussie vs. American, as Kaylee McKeown takes on Regan Smith for gold. McKeown is the favorite at -175 at DraftKings Sportsbook, with Smith the +100 underdog in the head-to-head. Last night at the Tokyo Aquatic Centre, Ariarne Titmus knocked off Katie Ledecky in the 400-meter freestyle in a similar AUS vs. USA matchup.

McKeown is the current world record holder at just 19-years-old, breaking Smith’s 2019 World Championships swim of 57.57 at the Australian Olympic trials this year with a 57.45. They’ll go head-to-head for gold tonight in the center of the pool.

Also tonight the gold medals will be awarded in the 100-meter breaststroke for both men and women, as well as the 100-meter backstroke for men.
