There are only two weeks left in the 2023 NFL season. Week 17 sees every team in action as they play their final games of the year ahead of 2024. This time of year brings precipitation concerns between rain and snow, but how to level winds can also be a game changer. With that in mind, here are the projected weather forecasts for Week 17 via AccuWeather, though they are still subject to change.

Worst weather games

New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns (TNF)

There is an 84% chance of rain on Thursday, with a high of 50 and a low of 37. The wind is expected to sit steady at seven mph.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Seattle Seahawks

Seattle is known for its rainy weather, and a “passing shower or two” is expected. The high for the day is 51, with a low of 41, and there is a 64% chance of rain. It may stay dry for the game and could depend on when the rain actually falls, but still, there is a good chance of bad weather for this game,

New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills

Late December games in Buffalo have an increased risk of snow, which is what is in the forecast for Week 17. Now, they aren’t calling for lake effect snow, but “cloudy with a chance for a bit of snow or flurries.” There is a 30% chance of snow with 13 mph winds that will gust even stronger.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Chicago Bears

“Cloudy with a chance for a bit of snow or flurries.” The high for the day is 37, with a low of 29 and a 30% chance of precipitation. The concern here is going to be the wind which will sit at 13 mph and gust harder.

Better weather games

Carolina Panthers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The benefit of playing a December game in Florida is that you can have warmer temperatures than expected. The high for this game is 62, with a low of 43, and there is only a 4% chance of rain. The wind shouldn’t be much of a factor at seven mph.

Los Angeles Rams vs. New York Giants

The high for the day is expected to be 46, with a low of 36. There is a 7% chance of rain with eight mph winds. The weather description reads “sunshine and patchy clouds.”

Arizona Cardinals vs. Philadelphia Eagles

“Clouds and sun” with a 7% chance of rain. The high for the day is 46, with a low of 36 and eight mph winds expected.

New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another Florida game comes in with a warm December day as the high is 69 with a low of 48. There is a 5% chance of rain and then five mph winds, so this should be one of the better forecasts in the league.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Washington Commanders

“Clouds and sun” with a high of 51 and a low of 32. There is only a 9% chance of rain and the wind will sit at seven mph.

Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Dolphins have to leave sunny Florida and head north, but the weather doesn’t look as bad as it could in December. The high for the day is 51, with a low of 36. There is a 10% chance of rain and winds blowing at eight mph.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos

Denver is another city where snow is prevalent this time of year, but the Chargers look like they’re avoiding it. The day will be mostly sunny, with a high of 46 and a low of 24. There will be a 10% chance of rain and five mph winds.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs

“Colder with times of sun and clouds.” The high for the day is 35 with a low of 24, and there is an 11% chance of rain, with 10 mph winds being the only concerning thing.

Home sweet dome

Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys (Saturday night)

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Indianapolis Colts

Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans

Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings (SNF)
