The Atlanta Falcons added depth to their running back room today by signing four-year veteran D’Onta Foreman to a one-year deal on Monday. Foreman worked out with the team last week and will be reunited with Falcons head coach Arthur Smith, who coached Foreman as the Tennessee Titans’ offensive coordinator last year.
We have signed RB D'Onta Foreman. We have activated Willie Wright and Kaleb McGary to the active roster. In addition, we have released Tyler Hall and have waived/injured Deadrin Senat. https://t.co/GwKIs44ZJs

The 2016 Doak Walker Award winner at the University of Texas, Foreman has made minimal impact as a pro since being drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. In his two years in Houston, he only amassed 326 rushing yards on 85 carries and two touchdowns before being waived in August of 2019.
After a brief stint on the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad, he ended up missing the entire 2019 season before being picked up by the Titans in 2020, where he appeared in six games and caught one receiving touchdown.
From a fantasy perspective in both daily and year-long leagues, Foreman doesn’t offer value in any lineup unless under extreme circumstances. He is squarely behind Mike Davis, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Qadree Ollison on the Falcons depth chart and barring injury, he’ll be fighting to even make the 53-man roster to start the season.
