Who will see playing time for Jets vs. Packers in Week 2 preseason

The New York Jets and Green Bay Packers will face off in Week 2 of NFL preseason on Saturday. We take a look at who’s likely to see playing time in this preseason matchup.

Will Aaron Rodgers return to business as usual Week 1 against New Orleans?

The Green Bay Packers will play their second straight preseason home game on Saturday, August 21st against the New York Jets. A big question mark heading into this game is whether Jordan Love will be able to go as he deals with an injury. Below is a look at the latest information on who will suit up for each team on Saturday afternoon.

Quarterbacks

Aaron Rodgers is unlikely to play in any preseason games, so we thought this would mean the coaching staff would get a long look at Love, who could be the team’s starting quarterback in 2022. Love was removed from last week’s game with a shoulder injury, so it’s not clear whether he will be available. Zach Wilson made his pro football debut and should see quite a few reps on Saturday for more in-game experience heading into the regular season.

Running Backs

Jets running back Tevin Coleman missed last weekend’s game due to personal reasons but returned to practice. Aaron Jones returned to practice this week from a hamstring injury, and we’ll see if the coaching staff wants to use him during the preseason.

Wide Receivers

New York’s rookie wide receiver Elijah Moore has reportedly had a fantastic training camp but suffered a recent quad injury. It is not believed to be serious, but he will likely be held out on Saturday. Davante Adams doesn’t figure to see much time for the Packers as arguably the top receiver in the NFL.

Tight Ends

Jets reserve tight end Ryan Griffin is suffering through a hamstring injury, and the Packers backup tight end Josiah Deguara played well in his return to practice. He tore his ACL last season and is working his way back on to the field.
