The Green Bay Packers raised eyebrows in the 2020 NFL draft when they traded up to take QB Jordan Love out of Utah State. Love did not play in any games and was widely considered the reason Aaron Rodgers wanted out of Green Bay after the season ended. Love is looking to get meaningful action in preseason before settling in as the backup quarterback this year.
Jordan Love Week 1 preseason stats
12/17, 122 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Analysis
Love struggled early in the game, but ultimately ripped off some nice throws while looking more and more comfortable in Matt LaFleur’s offense. He showed good awareness and mobility in the pocket as the game went on, something Packers fans will be happy about.

Fantasy implications
Love isn’t going to see the field unless there’s an injury to Rodgers. The Packers have reiterated they don’t plan to trade the quarterback, so there’s no fantasy value for Love unless Rodgers’ health is in question. He’s worth monitoring in dynasty leagues, but will not have any immediate impact.
