The Denver Broncos will look to kick their offense into gear this season once they settle on a quarterback. The skill positions look to be solid, with WR K.J. Hamler showing signs of growth early in preseason action.

K.J. Hamler Stats

2 receptions, 105 yards, 1 touchdown

Analysis

Hamler shows off his wheels here and Drew Lock delivers a perfect pass to beat the defense. Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy are receiving a lot of hype, but Hamler might be the new deep threat in Denver. This touchdown reception sets the stage for things to come. If Hamler continues to show off his speed in preseason, the Broncos may adjust their offense to get him more snaps.

Fantasy implications

Hamler is currently considered the third receiver in Denver behind Sutton and Jeudy. He’s unlikely to overtake the former in fantasy drafts, but could jump the latter if this type of effort keeps up. Fantasy players like home run threats and Hamler could emerge as one this season.
