What channel Texans vs. Packers is on, how to watch it via live stream, what time it starts

The Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers are facing off for Week 1 of the 2021 NFL preseason, airing on local television. We break down how to watch the matchup, particularly if you’re outside the broadcast region.

Will Aaron Rodgers return to business as usual Week 1 against New Orleans?

The Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers meet up in Week 1 of the 2021 NFL preseason at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.

You can find more specifics on local channel information by checking out the Texans broadcast info here, and Packers broadcast map here. Given that this is the preseason, we’ll see plenty of unknown and lesser known faces on the rosters. To keep track of who you’re watching checking out the Texans roster and the Packers roster.

These two teams are in very different situations. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers just led the team to the NFC title game a year ago and squashed trade rumors by saying he’ll return for 2021. The Texans on the other hand are in flux, with QB DeShaun Watson requesting a trade amid swirling legal allegations of sexual assault toward him. Watson hasn’t practiced in days and it’s likely that Tyrod Taylor will end up as the team’s QB1 this season.

If you aren’t around a TV to check out this preseason contest, you’ll need to dig a little deeper for streaming options. While regular season games are usually available outside the two local markets, preseason games are much more limited. To view this game via live online stream, you’ll need to use NFL Game Pass. If you are not planning on watching every week of the preseason, the service offers a free seven-day trial.

The Packers are a 3-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook and -165 on the moneyline. The Texans are a -165 moneyline underdog. The point total is installed at 35.
