The latest news to come out of the Aaron Rodgers vs. the Green Bay Packers struggle is that Rodgers has been telling prospective free agents that he wouldn’t be in Green Bay in 2021, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Garafolo says that Rodgers was telling free agents this after the 2020 draft.
From NFL Now on @nflnetwork: On @BobMcGinn’s “Krause” report and Aaron Rodgers’ warning #Packers prospective free agents for quite some time he wasn’t expecting to be back in Green Bay in 2021. pic.twitter.com/pXdYHffCiY

Garafolo also said he had heard similar stories of Rodgers referring to GM Brian Gutenkest as ex-Chicago Bulls GM Jerry Krause that The Athletic’s Bob McGinn had reported.
This most-recent report about Rodgers warning away free agents will likely be more damaging to this situation than some name-calling. The more that comes out, the more it appears this situation might be past repair.
Rodgers doesn’t have a no-trade clause, so the Packers can trade him anywhere, which could make the Packers more inclined to trade him and get a king’s ransom in return. And if they really are angry with Rodgers, they could try to send them somewhere he would not want to go. Of course, if he doesn’t want to go to a team, they probably wouldn’t want to take on a piece of this high-drama.
