The Thursday Night Football slate is out, and the package features plenty of compelling matchups. Every one of these games can be seen on NFL Network, but some will also be broadcast on FOX and Amazon as well.
The first game of the season between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys is on a Thursday night, but it’s technically not part of the Thursday Night Football package. This also goes for the Thanksgiving matchups.
Below is a look at the best and worst games on Thursday Night Football this season.
Best Games
I’m not sure how to say this, but I’m excited to watch the Jacksonville Jaguars play the Cincinnati Bengals. This Week 4 matchup will likely feature the last two No. 1 overall picks Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow. Not to mention, Tim Tebow might take over the entire NFL discussion by this point.
This is completely Aaron Rodgers dependent, but if he is still a member of the Green Bay Packers at this point, their game against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8 would be fun to see. Rodgers vs. Kyler Murray? Yes please.
Worst Game
The slate as a whole doesn’t feature too many duds, but the Week 3 contest between the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans isn’t likely to have significant buzz. People will watched in this football-addicted country, but the casual fans might not be to interested in the Sam Darnold vs. a quarterback who probably isn’t named Deshaun Watson.
