Complete list of opponents for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021

Tom Brady can officially say he’s led two teams to the NFL playoffs. Their run isn’t over yet, but we already have an early look at their 2021 needs and opponents.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers swung for the fences following the 2019 season and opted to let Jameis Winston walk in order to sign Tom Brady. That decision paid off and helped them clinch a playoff spot for the first time since 2007.

Brady tallied 40 touchdown passes for just the second time in his illustrious career thanks to his star-studded receiving corps. He has an abundance of talent with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Antonio Brown at his disposal. Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette provided plenty of support on the ground as a one-two punch out of the backfield. Tampa Bay’s top-tier run defense was consistent all year but the secondary could use some improvement.

Tampa Bay has some pricey defensive linemen who are due for new contracts and can’t pay everyone. Adding a young edge rusher to the front lines to mix in with the vets could serve the team well.

2021 opponents

The Bucs will face their NFC South divisional opponents six times, half at home and half on the road. In addition, they draw matchups against all four teams from the AFC East and NFC East. The NFL is expected to add a 17th game to the regular season schedule that will feature an inter-conference matchup with a similarly placed team. The Bucs would face the AFC South.
