Complete list of opponents for the Atlanta Falcons in 2021

The Atlanta Falcons started off 2020 with an 0-5 record before deciding to fire head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff. They picked up the slack some after those major changes and managed to get four wins before the regular season ended. Atlanta is hoping to go in a new direction under new leadership in 2021.

Matt Ryan was dynamic when throwing the ball to Calvin Ridley and the oft-injured Julio Jones but there wasn’t much balance because of Todd Gurley’s inability to serve as a consistent feature back. When the Falcons were dynamic on offense their abysmal defense made them prone to characteristically blow leads. Atlanta has all the tools to be dynamic on offense when healthy but could use a ton of help on defense. Atlanta gave up more passing yards than any team in the NFL and could target edge rushers and defensive backs to help fix that problem.

2021 opponents

The Falcons will face their NFC South divisional opponents six times, half at home and half on the road. In addition, they draw matchups against all four teams from the AFC East and NFC East. The NFL is expected to add a 17th game to the regular season schedule that will feature an inter-conference matchup with a similarly placed team. The Falcons would face the AFC South.
