In the 21st century, any time a player is or appears to be disgruntled, a critical step in the analysis process is checking social media. A tweet or a profile change can mean nothing or it can mean everything for an athlete looking for a change of scenery.
We already know Deshaun Watson is unhappy with the Houston Texans and that he has request a trade, so I suppose a social media change isn’t as big a deal. The Texans QB changed his social media profiles to reflect he is not connected to the team. He remains on the roster, but he wants to be clear that he does not want to associate with the organization.
Deshaun Watson updated his social media profiles from Texans photo to simply 'athlete' Watson has requested trade and is dug into stance of not wanting to play for team again. Texans steadfast they don't want to trade him. Staredown continues pic.twitter.com/n38BaZIYHN

Whether any of this leads to a trade this offseason is a while other question entirely. GM Nick Caserio said the team is not trading him and new head coach David Culley said he came to Houston in part because of the chance to work with Watson.
For now, the standoff between Watson and the Texas continues.
