Friday late AM update: The NFL has informed the Vikings and Texans their Sunday game will be played, per Ian Rapoport.

Friday update: The Vikings have been getting tested each day and had zero positive tests following Thursday’s testing, per Tom Pelissero. The team will get tested Friday and again on Saturday.

Wednesday update: Some positive news for the Vikings-Texans game, as GM Rick Speilman believes they will return to their facility on Thursday and the Vikings head of sports medicine confirms they have had zero positive tests so far. So, at this point, the game appears to be on track for Sunday.

UPDATE: The NFL has informed the Vikings, Titans. Texans and Steelers that their Week 4 games may be rescheduled, per CBS Sports’ Jason La Confora.

News is just coming out concerning multiple Tennessee Titans players and personnel testing positive for Covid-19. The eight positives have been confirmed as real and not false positives. The Vikings played the Titans on Sunday, and have closed down their facility with the news.

At this point, there haven’t been any reports that the Texans home matchup against the Minnesota Vikings is in jeopardy, but common sense tells us those discussions are being had in the league office as we speak.

Speculation will of course be rampant after this news, as this is the first breakout of the virus for an NFL team this season. There is plenty of reason to believe the Titans players were positive with the virus during the game on Sunday. So far, there have been no positive tests from Vikings players, but they will likely need to continue testing negative over the next couple days to get back to work.

At this point, the NFL could swap bye weeks and postpone both the Titans-Steelers game and this Vikings-Texans game. Of course, this is pure speculation at this point, and much depends on how quickly these teams could safely play once they are cleared. We will keep this space updated with any relevant news on this matchup.
