Friday update: The NFL has moved Steelers-Titans to Week 7, moved Steelers-Ravens to Week 8, and Ravens bye has been moved from Week 8 to Week 7.

Thursday AM update: The NFL is moving Titans-Steelers to later in the season after an additional Titans player and one personnel tested positive for Covid-19, according to Tom Pelissero. It will not happen on Monday.

Wednesday PM update: The CBS crew handling Titans-Steelers has been told the game will be played Monday evening, according to Paul Kuharsky.

Wednesday noonish update: News is coming in fast concerning the Steelers-Titans game. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the game will be played either Monday or Tuesday. Of course, that is likely contingent on there being no new positive tests.

Wednesday update: The NFL has decided to postpone the Steelers-Titans matchup, per ESPN’s Dianna Russini. There is still a possibility the game is played on Monday night, but we still await word on when the game will be rescheduled.

Be sure to have fantasy replacements for your Steelers-Titans players in case the game is moved to another week.

Wednesday AM update: One more Titans player has tested positive for Covid-19, but the remaining tests for the team have come back negative, per Dan Graziano. Additionally, Graziano is reporting the NFL found “no close contacts with the Titans player whose test came back positive” on Wednesday. That suggests isolation procedures are working.

Tuesday PM update: The NFL would prefer the game play Sunday, but one contingency plan would be to move the game to Monday night, per Adam Schefter. The thought is such a move would allow for additional testing and contact tracing.

UPDATE: The NFL has informed the Vikings, Titans. Texans and Steelers that their Week 4 games may be rescheduled, per CBS Sports’ Jason La Confora.

News is just coming out concerning multiple Tennessee Titans players and personnel testing positive for Covid-19. The eight positives have been confirmed as real and not false positives. The team has left their Nashville facility and one report has them not returning until at last Saturday.

At this point, there haven’t been any reports that the Titans home matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers is in jeopardy, but common sense tells us those discussions are being had in the league office as we speak.

Speculation will of course be rampant after this news, as this is the first breakout of the virus for an NFL team this season. If the league believes the Titans were able to contain and isolate the infected personnel, rescheduling the game could work, as ESPN’s Mike Clay tweeted:

Of course this is pure speculation at this point, and the team will need to isolate and show that no new cases show up in subsequent days. We will keep this space updated with any relevant news on this matchup.
