Bengals vs. Eagles, Week 3: How to watch, what to watch

The Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles are set to clash this week in Cincy. The Bengals are coming off a tough loss to the Browns wherein Joe Burrow shined yet again. The Heisman winner was forced to air it out 61 times due to the lack of an effective running game. The Eages didn’t have a much better weekend getting thrashed by the Rams that saw Carson Wentz throw two interceptions.

The biggest emphasis for the Bengals heading into the game should be the offensive line. The line is pretty bad and the effectiveness of Joe Burrow depends on it. It’s easy to see a path to success against the Eagles defense for Joe, they simply need to protect him.

The Rams and Jared Golf had a field day against the Eagles’ defense. Expect a high scoring affair that is won by the team that takes care of the ball. Last year the Bengals didn’t force that many turnovers, that needs to change if they want a shot over the desperate Eagles.

Fantasy football start/sit advice

Bengals

Joe Burrow, Quarterback, $6,200

Burrow threw 61 passes in his second professional appearance and will be tested against the Eagles’ top-notch defensive line. Joe Mixon was very limited running the ball against the Browns and could have similar problems with the Eagles. Darius Slay is the star of Philadelphia’s secondary, but there are enough holes elsewhere for Burrow to capitalize on weakness.

Tyler Boyd, Wide Receiver, $5,900

Everyone is waiting for A.J. Green to have a breakout performance. While Green leads the Bengals in targets, Boyd leads the team in receptions (11) and receiving yards (105). Boyd is coming off his first 1,000 and appears to have a better connection with Burrow than Green. Boyd can save you salary and has a decent shot at putting up better stats than Green.

Eagles

Miles Sanders, Running back, $6,400

Sanders made his 2020 debut against the Los Angeles Rams and managed to reach the end zone. He’s still shaking off some rust, but the all-purpose back was able to contribute on the ground and through the air against one of the better defensive fronts in the NFL. The Browns got eaten up by the duo of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt in Week 2 and should have trouble game planning for Sanders.

Zach Ertz, Tight End, $5,100

Ertz returned to being Wentz’s go-to guy in Week 2 after a slow season opener. Carson Wentz has struggled to get much out of his receiving corps. He has a ton of speed on the outside, but Ertz has consistently been Philadelphia’s top red zone threat.
