The Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars will kick off Week 3 action on Thursday under the lights at TIAA Bank Field.
The Dolphins (0-2) are still searching for their first win of the season, while the Jaguars (1-1) are looking to bounce back from a 33-30 loss to the Tennessee Titans that was decided by a Stephen Gostkowski field goal in the final minutes.
Led by second-year quarterback Gardner Minshew, the Jaguars have been one of the highest scoring teams in the league, posting 28.5 points per game. The Dolphins have struggled under veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, averaging just 19.5 points per contest, though they put up 28 points in Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills.
It may only be a matter of time before former Alabama star and No. 5 overall pick Tua Tagovailoa makes his NFL debut, which would make Thursday’s matchup a must-watch affair.

Fantasy football start/sit advice
Dolphins
Myles Gaskin, Running back, $4,800
Miami also has Matt Breida and Jordan Howard in its backfield, but Gaskin is clearly its preferred ballcarrier. He not only leads the Dolphins in carries (16) but yards per carry (5.4) and is even second on the team receptions (10).
Mike Gesicki, Tight end, $4,900
Through two weeks, Gesicki leads Miami in targets (16), catches (11) and receiving yards (160). He’s also one of just two Dolphins with a receiving touchdown. It’s even more encouraging that he will be going up against a Jacksonville defense that just allowed Titans tight end Jonnu Smith to go off for 84 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2.
Jaguars
James Robinson, Running back, $5,400
The Jaguars are a solid 13th in the league in rushing yards and Robinson, a rookie out of Illinois State, is their go-to guy. His 32 carries are 23 more than Jacksonville’s next leading ballcarrier. Robinson is averaging a healthy 5.1 yards per carry and was more involved in the passing game against the Titans, making a career-high three catches.
Gardner Minshew II, Quarterback, $6,400
The Dolphins have gotten carved up through the air, ranking dead last in the NFL in net yards per pass attempt. That’s welcome news for Minshew, who has gotten off to a strong start, completing 75 percent of his passes and throwing for six touchdowns, tied for the most in the league. As a bonus, Minshew has the second-most carries on the team (9).
