Josh Jacobs returns after missing a few plays and a Jalen Richard fumble

Raiders running back Josh Jacobs came off the field looking a bit gimpy. What happened next was not ideal.

UPDATE: And Jacobs came back on as the clock ticked under 11 minutes. He picked up four yards on his first carry and was taken down with a horse collar. He is not handling every carry and getting looked at by trainers in breaks in place, but is still getting work. This will be something to track coming out of this game.

UPDATE: The Raiders offense came back on the field around the 12 minute mark of the fourth quarter and Jacobs did not come on the field with them. Devontae Booker was in the backfield in place of Richard.

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs has not had big numbers in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints, but he’s had a couple critical runs that have helped them take a 24-17 lead into the fourth quarter. However, after a two-yard run to convert 4th and 1 at the end of the third quarter, Jacobs came up a bit gimpy.

Jacobs went to the sideline and Jalen Richard replaced him in the lineup. Three plays later, Richard dropped a pitch from Derek Carr on a basic sweep to the right and the Saints recovered it. Richard had a lot of running room, but he did not keep his eye on the ball and it cost him and the Raiders big time.

There are no reports on Jacobs since he left the game, but when the Raiders offense returns to action, we’ll be keeping an eye out to see if the Raiders running back has returned.
