Why can’t I watch Thursday Night Football?

Where is the game?

The Cleveland Browns are hosting the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football to open Week 2, and there’s a decent chance you can’t find the game. If you’re having trouble finding the TNF matchup, you probably aren’t alone.

Last season it felt like the game was everywhere, with FOX and Amazon Prime both offering the games. However, this year we are limited in the first three games. For Weeks 2-4, the games will only air on NFL Network. That means if you don’t have a subscription to NFLN, you might be out of luck. And given how some cable companies structure their basic cable and sports tiers, you might not have it even with a basic cable subscription.

Both Amazon Prime and FOX will have the games from Week 5 on, but the Bengals vs. Browns, Dolphins vs. Jaguars, and Broncos vs. Jets will only be on NFLN. Thankfully they don’’t get the biggest names in these first three games, but many will miss out on Joey Burrow, Minshew Magic and whatever the Jets are doing.

Give your TV channel listing a look. If you don’t have NFL Network, here are some options for live streaming the game.
