The NFL closes out Week 1 with a Monday Night Football doubleheader, and the evening could open with a fun one. The New York Giants host the Pittsburgh Steelers on ESPN, with kickoff set for 7:15 p.m. ET.
We get a couple significant narratives in this game. Ben Roethlisberger returns to helm the Steelers offense after missing 14 games last season with an elbow injury. Daniel Jones took over the starting role last year, and looks to build on a solid first season in what will be his first full season as the clear starter.
If you’ve cut the cord on cable or otherwise don’t prefer cable, there are some options for live streaming the game. ESPN will stream the game on WatchESPN, but that requires a cable log-in. However, for this week, there are a host of streaming services offering free trials for one or two weeks. You can check YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV and be able to stream the game tonight.
The game is often a little bit delayed on live streams, but usually it’s only between 30 and 60 seconds behind the TV broadcast. That can impact you if you’re on Twitter during the game, but otherwise it’s an easy option.
This should be a fun game. The Steelers are a 6-point favorite, and while I don’t think the Giants will cover, I do think we could see some offensive fireworks. I’m taking the Steelers and the over on 45 points.
