Madden Stream Results

Redskins rally, but can’t overcome early turnovers in 24-21 loss to the Panthers — 4/4/20

Aside from two costly turnovers, the Redskins played well in their first simulated game on Madden Stream. They even held Christian McCaffrey ($10,000; 12.9 DKFP) in check for the most part. However, Cam Newton ($10,200; 13.6 DKFP) ran for a touchdown, and Eric Reid earned “Player of the Game” honors for his defensive TD that led the Panthers DST ($5,200; 15 DKFP) to a big game. While they were rallying to erase a 17-0 deficit, Dwayne Haskins Jr. ($8,800; 22.32 DKFP), Terry McLaurin ($9,000; 17.2 DKFP) and Trey Quinn ($3,600; 20.8 DKFP) had big games. Quinn, who finished with 118 yards, was only the Captain’s Pick in 0.1% of lineups, including the two who tied for the win in the 2K Free Contest.

Bears silence Redskins’ offense in Madden simulation — 4/7/20

This was simply not ever going to be a good afternoon for Dwayne Haskins ($9,400; 4.8 DKFP). With the rookie carrying a lowly 70 overall rating into his Tuesday matchup with the vaunted Chicago defense, things went about as you would expect. Haskins threw two interceptions, the Bears’ D/ST ($5,000; 13.0 DKFP) sacked the pivot twice, and Washington couldn’t even muster a single touchdown in an eventual 13-6 loss. Still, to be fair to Haskins, it’s not like Chicago was moving the ball consistently down the field, either. Really, defense aside, the lone Bears player to make much of an impact was Tarik Cohen ($2,600; 11.1 DKFP), who finished with 41 scrimmage yards and a TD.

Giants edge Redskins in Madden simulation– 4/13/20

In a simulation that was incredibly similar to the Week 16 matchup between these two teams, New York took down Washington in a 37-34 barnburner this afternoon. Daniel Jones ($10,200; 36.5 DKFP) appeared to be the biggest beneficiary of DraftKings shift to eight-minute quarters, as the rookie QB almost proved to be unstoppable in the victory. Jones threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns, while he also ran in another score. The Redskins’ passing attack was just as potent, with Dwayne Hawkins ($10,400; 32.7 DKFP) tossing four touchdowns of his own, two of which were hauled in by the talented Terry McLaurin ($8,800; 36.4 DKFP). We’ll see if these fireworks continue throughout the day.

Redskins can’t keep up with Marvin Jones Jr., lose to the Lions, 31-17 — 4/19/20

Washington fell to 0-4 with their loss to the Lions in a Madden Stream contest on Sunday afternoon. Jones ($7,600; 43 DKFP) dominated with four receiving touchdowns along with 94 receiving yards on nine catches. He caught all four touchdown tosses from Matthew Stafford ($10,800; 26.04 DKFP), who had a big game of his own. The Lions got out to a big lead early and held off a Redskins’ rally attempt that helped Trey Quinn ($3,800; 15.8 DKFP) and Paul Richardson Jr. ($5,800; 11.6 DKFP) bring back decent value. Lions WR3 Danny Amendola ($4,800; 10.3 DKFP) was also involved as Detroit moved to 3-1 in their four simulated games.

Broncos DST dominates Redskins in Madden sim — 4/22/20

Washington didn’t even find the end zone in the 27-6 loss, getting close to no production on offense. Terry McLaurin ($9,200; 19.2 DKFP) was the only notable performer, going just over 100 yards on his six receptions. The Broncos’ DST ($5,000; 23 DKFP) dominated the contest, racking up eight sacks and scoring a touchdown on a defensive return. The DST play was actually in the captain spot for the winning lineup, where it earned 34.5 DKFP at 3.1% ownership. Phillip Lindsay ($8,800; 15 DKFP) rushed for just 30 yards, but did score both of Denver’s offensive touchdowns. Noah Fant ($7,000; 14.3 DKFP) was the most effective weapon in the passing game, going for 83 yards on six receptions.

Redskins best Bengals for first Madden Stream win — 4/25/20

The Redskins have come close to getting a win in their last few simulations, but they finally broke through and beat the Bengals 28-24 on Friday afternoon. Dwayne Haskins Jr. ($10,400; 32.28 DKFP) led the way throwing for all four of Washington’s touchdown and 332 passing yards, but no receiver had multiple touchdown catches. Paul Richardson ($6,600; 28.9 DKFP) was a great value, hauling in seven passes for 129 yards and a touchdown, and Trey Quinn ($3,800; 15.4 DKFP) was also involved with a score for even cheaper. While Cincinnati didn’t win, it finally got a big game from A.J. Green ($10,200; 27.2 DKFP) who had averaged just 9.4 DKFP before breaking out for 182 yards and a touchdown on six catches in this contest.

In-Zane-ity! Cardinals kicker fuels 16-8 win over Redskins — 4/27/20

The Redskins couldn’t get anything going on offense against Arizona but still had a chance to tie the game until their last-minute drive came up short. Kicker Zane Gonzalez ($3,800; 11 DKFP) came up huge for the Cardinals with three FG and could have had an even bigger game if he had converted a long attempt on Arizona’s final possession. While neither high-priced QB came through, Kyler Murray ($11,400; 10.4 DKFP) was the better of the two thanks to 34 rushing yards, and he also showcased a solid connection with Christian Kirk ($7,000; 11.4 DKFP), who caught five passes. Washington’s best fantasy option was Chris Thompson ($1,400; 11.6 DKFP) who ran for 38 yards and added exactly 38 more yards on four catches.

Chargers dominate Redskins 27-6 in Madden sim — 4/30/20

This one was all L.A., as the Chargers’ DST ($4,400; 12 DKFP) held Washington to just two field goals and was able to score a touchdown on a defensive return. Philip Rivers ($11,200; 19.96 DKFP) tossed three touchdowns in the lopsided win. As you’d expect, he hit Keenan Allen ($10,800; 14.1 DKFP) for one of those scores, but Austin Ekeler ($3,200; 15.3 DKFP) and Travis Benjamin ($4,200; 17.7 DKFP) both reached the end zone, making for strong value. Jordan Reed ($7,600; 17.2 DKFP) was the only thing Washington got going, finishing with eight receptions for 92 yards.

Redskins get second win of sims by beating the Dolphins, 16-10 — 5/2/20

The Redskins got a nice road win in virtual Miami in the first Madden stream of the day behind three FGs from Dustin Hopkins ($4,000; 11 DKFP). The one Washington touchdown was scored by Jordan Reed ($8,200; 14.3 DKFP), but it was Derrius Guice ($8,800; 14.3 DKFP) who did the work down the stretch with over 100 yards rushing, all in the second half. For the Dolphins, unowned Chandler Cox ($1,000; 6.1 DKFP) vultured the touchdown while Mike Gesicki ($7,800; 18.7 DKFP) fell just short of the 100-yard bonus after catching the final pass of the game and getting stopped at 97 yards on nine catches in the contest.

Guice twice is nice as Redskins take down Jaguars 23-17 — 5/4/20

The Redskins went just 1-7 in their first eight sims on Madden, but have now picked up back-to-back wins after beating Jacksonville, 23-17, on Monday afternoon. The Redskins got good production from Derrius Guice ($8,600; 20.4 DKFP), who scored two touchdowns and run for 59 yards. His backup Chris Thompson ($1,200,; 16.7 DKFP) also stayed involved over 100 yards rushing and receiving, and Jordan Reed ($7,800; 14.4 DKFP) caught Washington’s other touchdown. For Jacksonville, Leanord Fournette ($9,400; 25.4 DKFP) was a big producer again as a chalky Captain’s Pick in over 40% of lineups. He finished with 164 rushing and a touchdown while D.J. Chark ($9,200; 15.1 DKFP) caught the Jags other score.

Paul Richardson single-handedly defeats Buccaneers in Madden sim — 5/7/20

Richardson ($5,600; 48 DKFP) put up one of the biggest performances we’ve seen in a sim and did so at an extremely affordable salary. Richardson posted a 7-200-3 line, scoring all three touchdowns in Washington’s 30-27 victory. Richardson was 5.8% owned as a captain, where his 72 DKFP carried the winning lineup with ease. Dwayne Haskins ($10,400; 29.24 DKFP) was obviously a strong play by default, passing for 356 yards along with his three scores to Richardson. Jameis Winston ($11,000; 23.64 DKFP) also surpassed the 300-yard mark, hitting Chris Godwin ($8,800; 12.4 DKFP) and Breshad Perriman (3,600; 18.8 DKFP) for touchdowns.

Devonta Freeman feasts as Falcons defeat Redskins, 27-17 — 5/9/20

In a game that was a one-score contest until the final minutes, the Falcons got a 10-point win over Washington behind a monster game from Devonta Freeman ($8,600; 21.4 DKFP), who racked up over 100 yards on the ground and added seven catches for 42 yards. He was stopped at the 1-yard line on one of his long runs, which was followed by one of three touchdown passes for Matt Ryan ($11,200; 19.68 DKFP). Ryan stayed away from Julio Jones ($10,800; 4.7 DKFP), disappointing those who paid up for him, and instead went to Austin Hooper ($8,000; 14.5 DKFP), Russell Gage ($3,200; 7.8 DKFP) and WR4 Justin Hardy. In the loss, Dwayne Haskins Jr. ($10,000; 14.98 DKFP) threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns.

Redskins overwhelm Colts in Madden simulation– 5/12/20

Even in the world of virtual reality, I never would have guessed in a thousand years that Trey Quinn ($3,400; 38.0 DKFP) had the capacity for a performance like this. Washington’s offense was electric in the team’s 31-20 victory over Indianapolis, but no one could even hold a candle to what we saw from the Redskins’ slot wideout. Despite being held under 25 yards in three of his past five simulations, Quinn went off for eight catches, 210 yards and a touchdown. That’s right. Quinn, who has 273 career receiving yards in real-life, joined the 200 club this afternoon. As you would expect, it was also a great day for Dwayne Haskins ($10,000; 31.4 DKFP), as he’d finish with four TD passes.

Jets dominate Redskins in Madden simulation– 5/14/20

Every yard matters in football and in DFS. That notion was on full display in New York’s 24-14 victory over Washington on Thursday night. It mattered for Ryan Griffin ($6,400; 20.1 DKFP), who was both the beneficiary and victim of a single yard. To wit, the tight end finished with seven catches for 101 receiving yards, yet he was also brought down inside the one-yard line on what looked to be a sure touchdown reception in the second quarter. One yard also mattered a great deal for Griffin’s teammate Le’Veon Bell ($10,000; 11.1 DKFP), as the running back would finish with 24 carries for a frustrating 99 rushing yards. It’s truly a game of virtual inches.

Steelers squeak past Redskins in 27-26 win– 5/17/20

The Redskins had a chance to steal a victory from the Steelers but a missed field goal from Dustin Hopkins ($3,800) sealed the win for the road team. Ben Roethlisberger ($10,800) continued to perform well in these simulations, as he threw for 281 yards and four touchdowns, good for 27.1 DKFP. He kept his WR1 busy, as JuJu Smith-Schuster ($10,000) had seven catches for 97 yards and a touchdown. He was just shy of reaching the 3 DKFP 100-plus yard bonus, but no one will be disappointed in his 22.7 DKFP performance. On the Redskins, Paul Richardson ($7,000) continued to be a fantasy sim darling, making five receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown, good for 25.6 DKFP.

Redskins mount comeback to defeat Eagles in OT of Madden sim– 5/21/20

DeSean Jackson ($7,800; 26 DKFP) did it all offensively for the Eagles, hauling in both of the team’s touchdowns to go with five grabs for 90 yards. D-Jax was 1.7% owned in the captain’s spot, where he posted 39 DKFP for the winning lineup. Paul Richardson ($6,200; 24.5 DKFP) continues to be one of the top values at WR in Madden sims, posting a 6-65-2 line, including the game-winner to clinch the 23-17 victory in overtimes. Washington got its other touchdown on the defensive end.

Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott rush for over 100 yards against the Redskins– 5/23/20

The Redskins’ run defense left a lot to be desired in this contest. Dallas ran all over them with Elliott ($9,600; 33.6 DKFP) leading the way. He ran for 155 yards and had one of the stronger games we have seen from a running back in a Madden sim. Prescott ($11,000; 21.38 DKFP) was strong in his own right, finishing with 115 rushing yards. Due to the strong ground attack from the Cowboys, they rarely passed the ball and Prescott only had 72 yards through the air. The final score was 33-11 and the Redskins were out of this contest from the first whistle.

Rams win a shootout over Redskins in Madden simulation– 5/26/20

I’m not sure how many people were expecting to get a classic quarterback battle between the likes of Jared Goff ($10,800; 28.0 DKFP) and Dwayne Haskins ($10,000; 25.7 DKFP), but that’s exactly what we got on Tuesday afternoon. Each pivot threw for four touchdowns in Los Angeles’ eventual 38-28 victory, with Goff just missing out on the bonus after registering 299 passing yards for the day. As you might expect, all these TDs also meant some fantastic performances by Rams skill-position players, with Brandin Cooks ($7,200; 37.2 DKFP) emerging as the must-own asset. The wideout racked up 10 catches, 122 yards and a pair of scores.

Trey Quinn lifts Redskins to 27-24 win over Titans– 5/31/20

The Redskins have been an extremely good offense in the Madden simulations and Sunday afternoon was no different. It was Quinn ($5,600/$8,400) who went off for them this time, making six receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns, good for 32.6 DKFP in the flex spot and 48.9 at captain. He was only 5.9% owned in the captain spot, which unsurprisingly landed him in the winning lineup in Showdown. Dwayne Haskins ($10,400) threw for 374 yards and three touchdowns, giving him yet another solid game with 29.9 DKFP. In the loss, A.J. Brown ($8,800) did his part for the Titans, nabbing two touchdowns and 94 yards on just three receptions for 24.4 DKFP.

Vikings top Washington in Tuesday’s simulation– 6/2/20

The Vikings had no problems en route to a 35-14 simulated win, with each member of their star foursome accruing a gaudy box score. Dalvin Cook ($10,200; 27.4 DKFP) led the way with 121 rush yards and two TDs. But they also got plenty of work done through the air, with Kirk Cousins ($11,000; 23.84 DKFP) completing most of his 296 yards to Adam Thielen ($9,200; 27.6 DKFP) and Stefon Diggs ($10,600; 21.4 DKFP). Thielen finished with 117 yards and a TD on nine receptions, while Diggs caught 74 yards, a TD, and a two-point conversion.

Redskins outlast Bills in three overtime Madden sim marathon– 6/4/20

This Madden simulation between Washington and the Bills took three overtimes to settle, but the away team managed to edge out a 20-17 win. Derrius Guice (CPT; $13,200) carried the mail for the Redskins in this one, totaling 171 yards and a touchdown. He scored 42.15 DKFP in the captain spot. For Buffalo, Josh Allen ($10,800) did his best to get the win. He ran for the Bills’ two touchdowns, and totaled 25.9 DKFP. The rest of the winning lineup contained Devin Singletary ($8,200), Jordan Reed ($7,200), Tyler Kroft ($6,200), and Dustin Hopkins ($4,200). Guice was a contrarian captain at just 0.6%, leading to a solo winner.

Deshaun Watson wins game on long touchdown run– 6/6/20
Just when it seemed this game was headed for overtime, Watson ($11,400; 30.86 DKFP) broke off a 45-yard touchdown run with 18 seconds left on the clock. This essentially ended the game, giving the Texans a 28-21 victory. It also put Watson at 95 rushing yards, making him the top fantasy player in this game by a fairly wide margin. Lamar Miller ($8,400; 20.6 DKFP) also did damage on the ground for Houston. He scored a touchdown and rushed for 146 yards. For the Redskins, Jordan Reed ($7,400; 16.8 DKFP) was the top scorer. He had eight catches, but also had a costly fumble.

Redskins outlast Browns in Madden simulation– 6/9/20
Well, that simulation couldn’t end soon enough. In a contest that initially had the potential to be a barnburner, Washington would eventually take down Cleveland by an underwhelming final tally of 13-10. Believe me when I say that noteworthy DFS performances were pretty few and far between in this one. Heck, while Derrius Guice ($6,600; 6.9 DKFP) was able to register the Redskins’ lone touchdown of the afternoon, he was otherwise limited to just nine yards rushing. It was that kind of day. Even top-scorer Jarvis Landry ($7,000; 15.8 DKFP) didn’t find the end zone until the Browns’ final offensive play of the game.
