Jaguars stomp Broncos 26-7 in Madden simulation — 4/1/20

Gardner Minshew ($10,200; 17.88 DKFP) and D.J. Chark ($9,200; 17.7 DKFP) led the way for Jacksonville, which dominated this one from start to finish. The Jags only allowed one score to Denver, as defenses have continued to be some of the top plays on these Madden simulation slates — Jaguars D/ST ($4,600; 11 DKFP) was one of the top values on the slate. James O’Shaughnessy ($7,800; 13.5 DKFP) was an unlikely hero, while Leonard Fournette ($9,600; 17.1 DKFP) shredded a Denver defense that was gashed on the ground during the regular season.

Minshew Mania helps Jaguars past Giants in Madden simulation — 4/8/20

Gardner Minshew ($10,000; 15.8 DKFP) threw a pair of touchdowns for the second straight sim — this time hitting Dede Westbrook ($6,200; 22.6 DKFP) for both scores. While first place was shared in the free contest, Westbrook’s 33.9 DKFP in the captain spot came at just 2.9% ownership. Leonard Fournette ($8,400; 16.7 DKFP) also kept the offense rolling on the ground for the Jags, gaining 74 yards with a touchdown, adding on a pair of receptions. The Giants were able to move the ball, though, as Saquon Barkley ($9,200; 19.7 DKFP) rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown and Darius Slayton ($5,200; 19.2 DKFP) caught five passes for 112 yards.

Buccaneers outlast Jaguars in Madden simulation — 4/13/20

Even though Jameis Winston ($10,800; 19.1 DKFP) is technically now a free agent, we were able to re-unite he and Chris Godwin ($8,000; 20.5 DKFP) this afternoon in the glory of a Madden simulation. It went pretty much like it did throughout all of 2019 in Tampa Bay’s eventual 20-17 double-OT victory over Jacksonville. Though Godwin didn’t record a touchdown in the win, he was still the Buccaneers’ main offensive weapon, finishing the contest with six catches for an impressive 112 yards. Breshad Perriman ($3,600; 17.5 DKFP) was also highly effective, winding up with four receptions and 75 yards along with a trip to the end zone.

Baker Mayfield strong, but Jags top Browns, 38-31 — 4/21/20

Mayfield ($10,800; 32.36 DKFP) threw all four touchdowns for the Browns, topping the 300-yard mark. Mayfield hit four different pass-catchers for the scores, but it was Damion Ratley ($3,400; 18 DKFP) that proved to be the top value, posting a 3-90-1 line. Jacksonville got a huge game from a name we’ve seen pop up in trade rumors heading into the NFL Draft, as Leonard Fournette ($8,400; 24.8) rushed for 128 yards and a TD. The unlikely hero on the slate was James O’Shaughnessy ($5,800; 25 DKFP), who posted a 6-70-2 line, providing the winning lineup with 37.5 DKFP in the captain spot.

Leonard Fournette strong, but Raiders top Jags, 23-20, in OT — 4/24/20

This Madden simulation came down to the wire, but ultimately it was the Silver and Black that prevailed over Jacksonville. Leonard Fournette ($8,200) had over 100 total yards and a touchdown, good for 22.2 DKFP. For the Raiders, Tyrell Williams ($9,400) went for 96 yards on seven catches. The rest of the winning lineup for this match contained Derek Carr ($10,800; 16.92 DKFP), Darren Waller ($8,000; 13.00 DKFP), Dede Westbrook ($6,800; 20.20 DKFP) and Foster Moreau ($1,200; 10.70 DKFP).

Chark Attack! Jaguars hold off late Dolphins rally to win 24-17 — 4/26/20

The Jaguars got off to a fast start and held on to beat their in-state rival Miami on Sunday afternoon in a Madden simulation. D.J. Chark Jr. ($9,200; 32.4 DKFP) came up huge for the Jaguars, catching two touchdowns and totaling 117 yards on six catches. His QB Gardner Minshew ($10,400; 22.8 DKFP) threw three touchdowns total with 275 yards, while Leonard Fournette ($8,800; 11.7 DKFP) contributed 76 rushing yards and 21 receiving yards. In the loss, speedster Jakeem Grant ($4,800; 30.5 DKFP) had a huge game for Miami with 165 yards and a touchdown on five catches, while Mike Gesicki ($8,000; 11.6 DKFP) caught the late score from Ryan Fitzpatrick ($10,800; 22.16 DKFP), giving both solid totals overall.

Falcons blow out Jaguars in Madden simulation — 4/28/20

Atlanta’s 31-10 victory over Jacksonville initially looked like it was going to be pretty normal. Matt Ryan ($11,200; 16.4 DKFP) had been piecing together a solid – if unspectacular – afternoon of football, leading his team to a seven-point lead in the fourth quarter. Well, that’s about where the wheels came off for the Jaguars’ offense and the Falcons D/ST ($4,200; 21.0 DKFP) took over. First, with about four minutes left in regulation, Atlanta stripped Gardner Minshew ($10,200; 8.3 DKFP) of the football and returned it all the way for a score. Then, on the next drive, Deion Jones stepped in front of a Minshew pass and took it 77 yards in the other direction for another defensive touchdown. Again, it was a weird one.

Jaguars beat Lions, 19-14, in a battle of the big cats — 5/2/20

The Jaguars got a late touchdown from D.J. Chark Jr. ($9,400; 11.7 DKFP) and edged out the Lions, 19-14, in Saturday’s second Madden Stream. Chark had a solid game as the Jaguars’ WR1, but Kenny Golladay ($10,200; 19.2 DKFP) also had a touchdown and 82 yards for an even bigger game as the Lions’ WR1. Each RB1 also had a touchdown, with Leonard Fournette ($8,600; 19.4 DKFP) finishing agonizingly close to the 100-yard bonus with 99 yards rushing along with 15 yards on two catches. Kerryon Johnson ($8,400; 7.8 DKFP) had the other touchdown for Detroit, while James O’Shaughnessy ($6,400; 16.1 DKFP), Josh Lambo ($3,800; 7.0 DKFP) and Marqise Lee ($4,400; 10.2 DKFP) were key value plays from the Jaguars.

Guice twice is nice as Redskins take down Jaguars 23-17 — 5/4/20

The Redskins went just 1-7 in their first eight sims on Madden, but have now picked up back-to-back wins after beating Jacksonville, 23-17, on Monday afternoon. The Redskins got good production from Derrius Guice ($8,600; 20.4 DKFP), who scored two touchdowns and run for 59 yards. His backup Chris Thompson ($1,200,; 16.7 DKFP) also stayed involved over 100 yards rushing and receiving, and Jordan Reed ($7,800; 14.4 DKFP) caught Washington’s other touchdown. For Jacksonville, Leanord Fournette ($9,400; 25.4 DKFP) was a big producer again as a chalky Captain’s Pick in over 40% of lineups. He finished with 164 rushing and a touchdown while D.J. Chark ($9,200; 15.1 DKFP) caught the Jags other score.

Bengals escape, 24-20, over Jacksonville– 5/8/20

Cincinnati narrowly defeated the Jaguars in this NFL simulation, and they did it on the back of Tyler Eifert (CPT; $11,700). The veteran TE went over 100 yards with a touchdown, scoring 41.4 DKFP in the Captain spot. His teammate, Andy Dalton ($10,600) threw for three scores on the afternoon. The rest of the winning lineup contained Gardner Minshew ($10,200), Leonard Fournette ($8,400), John Ross ($4,600) and Josh Lambo ($4,000). This was a five-way tie for first.

Jaguars outlast Seahawks in Madden simulation– 5/10/20

If you though Minshew Mania was over, think again. In this afternoon’s stream between Jacksonville and Seattle, the rookie QB was basically unstoppable. Gardner Minshew ($10,200; 34.0 DKFP), who had thrown for fewer than 200 yards in four-straight games, somehow racked up 476 yards and three touchdowns in the Jaguars’ eventual 27-24 victory. So, as you might expect, a lot of Jacksonville receiving options also had massive performances. Dede Westbrook ($6,400; 26.6 DKFP) had eight catches and 156 yards; D.J. Chark ($9,000; 25.2 DKFP) hauled in a pair of TDs; while James O’Shaughnessy ($6,600; 20.9 DKFp) registered six grabs for 119 yards of his own.

Jaguars top Cardinals in an ugly Madden sim– 5/14/20

Jacksonville scored the only touchdown of the game, which was the difference-maker in this one. The teams combined for five field goals, as the Jags escaped with a 13-9 victory. Gardner Minshew ($10,600; 12.46 DKFP) completed just one pass to D.J. Chark ($9,000; 13.8 DKFP), but it went for a 68-yard score. Larry Fitzgerald ($9,600; 20.7 DKFP) had the most productive fantasy outing, finishing with a 7-107-0 line. He was just 1.9% owned in the captain’s spot, where his 31.05 DKFP helped the winning lineup. David Johnson ($2,800; 15.1 DKFP) made for very strong value as Arizona’s RB2, catching five passes for 33 yards, and rushing for 68 yards.

Texans roll past Jaguars in Madden simulation — 5/17/20

Wake up. Put Deshaun Watson ($11,000; 24.7 DKFP) into as many lineups as possible. Go to sleep. Repeat. Houston’s franchise quarterback has been about as good as they come in DraftKings’ Madden simulations and that trend continued this evening in a 27-17 victory over Jacksonville. Like usual, Watson was getting it done through the air and with his legs, passing for 266 yards and a touchdown, while also running in a second score. As for the Jaguars, D.J. Chark ($9,600; 24.4 DKFP) continued to find the end zone at will, registering his ninth touchdown in the team’s past eight games. The LSU product finished with four catches and 114 yards.

Patriots romp Jags in Tuesday simulation– 5/19/20

Sony Michel ($2,800; 20.7 DKFP) rushed for two TDs as New England cruised to an easy 31-17 win over the Jaguars on Tuesday. Michel was the second-highest scoring DFS option, which, combined with his dirt-cheap salary, made him easily the best play of the night. He totaled 87 yards, all on the ground. Julian Edelman ($10,400; 20.9 DKFP) also scored twice, both through the air, and led the game in DKFP. The Jags were led by their mustachioed QB, Gardner Minshew ($9,800; 19.12 DKFP), who threw for 303 yards and a TD.

The Bills barrel past the Jaguars 28-12– 5/23/20

The Bills DST ($3,400; 16 DKFP) and Josh Allen ($11,000; 26.08 DKFP) led the Bills to just their fourth win in our full season’s worth of sims. Allen threw for 147 yards and three touchdowns while also running for 94 more yards. The Bills’ D has a pair of sacks, an interceptions, a fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown. Cole Beasley ($7,800; 15.1 DKFP) was the top Bills WR, and Robert Foster ($3,600; 8.4 DKFP) and TE2 Dawson Knox ($2,000; 7.3 DKFP) were good values with their touchdowns. For the Jags, D.J. Chark ($9,000; 10.9 DKFP) had the only touchdown.

Jaguars offense runs wild in Tuesday’s simulation– 5/26/20

Three different Jaguars topped 30 DKFP during their 36-31 simulated win over AFC South rival Tennessee Tuesday. DJ Chark ($9,200; 39.1 DKFP) led the way with 191 receiving yards and two TDs, but he couldn’t have got that done without Gardner Minshew’s ($10,400; 33.08 DKFP) 332 passing yards and four TDs. And their success wasn’t limited to the air – Leonard Fournette ($9,000; 34.7 DKFP) racked up 109 yards and a TD on the ground, in addition to catching another TD. The Titans were led by A.J. Brown ($8,600; 30.7 DKFP), who put up 137 receiving yards and a TD.

Jaguars defeat Chiefs in Wednesday’s simulated matchup– 5/27/20

The Jaguars pulled out an overtime win over the Chiefs in their simulated Madden contest, 27-21. The Jaguars received a big performance from Dede Westbrook ($5,600, 21.10 DKFP), who caught six passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. Almost matching his production was James O’Shaughnessy ($5,800, 20 DKFP), who registered seven receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown. Patrick Mahomes ($11,600, 24.44 DKFP) led the way for the Chiefs with 306 passing yards to go along with a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown.

JJaguars upset Saints in Madden simulation– 5/29/20

We all know the old saying: If you’re only going to make three catches in a DraftKings’ Madden simulation, you’d better make them count. Well, it would appear that D.J. Chark ($8,800; 18.4 DKFP) took that sentiment to heart in Jacksonville’s 24-17 victory over New Orleans on Friday evening. The LSU product was limited to just three receptions for 27 yards by the Saints’ secondary. However, two of those three opportunities ended in a touchdown. It was also an efficient night for Gardner Minshew ($10,600; 18.4 DKFP) and Leonard Fournette ($8,400; 15.0 DKFP), as each was part of the winning build.

Eagles hold on to beat Jaguars in Madden simulation — 6/2/20

Alshon Jeffery ($10,600; 23.8 DKFP) has been playing like a man possessed as of late. In fact, coming into this afternoon’s simulation against Jacksonville, the wideout had scored three touchdown in his past two contests. Needless to say, the good times continued in Philadelphia’s 21-16 victory. Jeffery, who was somehow just 16.0% owned on the Showdown slate, registered four catches for 76 yards and a pair of scores, now giving him nine trips to the end zone in his past nine streams. Zach Ertz ($8,400; 16.9 DKFP) hauled into the Eagles’ other TD, part of a five-reception performance for the All-Pro tight end.

Jags escape with win over Panthers– 6/5/20

In this afternoon’s Madden simulation, Jacksonville was able to beat Carolina, 27-21. D.J. Chark ($8,800) did most of the damage for the Jaguars, scoring two touchdowns and racking up 20.9 DKFP. For the Panthers, Greg Olsen ($8,600) had a field day, with 176 yards on eight catches. He finished the day with 28.6 DKFP. The rest of the winning lineup contained Curtis Samuel (CPT; $11,100), Cam Newton ($10,600), James O’Shaughnessy ($6,600) and Josh Lambo ($4,000). It was a seven-way tie for first place.

D.J. Chark’s big game not enough as Packers beat Jaguars, 27-21– 6/7/20

Chark ($8,000; 34.7 DKFP) continued to be a dominant force as the Jaguars’ WR1, finishing with six catches for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His two scores weren’t enough in this contest, though, since the Packers added a pair of Mason Crosby ($4,200; 11 DKFP) FGs to their three touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers ($11,400; 15.06 DKFP) threw two scores: one to Davante Adams ($10,600; 18.5 DKFP) and one to Marquez Valdes-Scantling ($6,200; 17.9 DKFP). Little-used FB Danny Vitale ($1,000; 6.6 DKFP) had the other touchdown on the ground for Green Bay.
