The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the latest professional sports organization to be hit by Covid-19. Two hours after ESPN reporter Adam Schefter reported at least two Bucs players tested positive for Covid-19, the team confirmed news of positive tests. They did not say how many or if it involved players or staff, but did reference multiple individuals.
The team statement said the organization vacated the affected areas and they will remain closed for extensive sanitization. The individuals have started a 14-day quarantine, but the team’s office remains open for Phase 1 employees.
ESPN also reported one coach tested positive earlier this week and two other coaches were quarantined.
