The NFL announced the 2020 schedule on Thursday, and we’ve got the full rundown for all the Sunday Night Football matchups. The season is scheduled to start on Thursday, September 10th, with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans, and wrap up on Sunday, February 7, 2021 with Super Bowl 55. The Covid-19 pandemic might have something to say about that, but for the time being the NFL is moving forward as though the season will start on time.
The season opener technically falls on Thursday, but it is an SNF production. Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will call the game from the booth, while Michele Tafoya will operate from the sideline.
While there will be some stinkers over the course of the season, we get some fun SNF matchups this year following the opener. Packers-Saints in Week 3 and 49ers-Eagles in Week 4 could be back-to-back NFC playoff previews. Week 9 features Tom Brady and the Bucs hosting the Saints in what could be a game with huge NFC South implications. Week 10 between the Ravens and Patriots in Foxboro is a complete mystery right now. Will Jarrett Stidham be the QB answer, or will the Patriots be playing for draft positioning? We don’t know the Week 17 matchup yet, as that will be determined with flex scheduling at the end of the year.
You can check out each SNF night game below. Plus, we’ll be breaking down more of the schedule, including a rundown of the full season schedule, the best and worst matchups, and plenty more. All times listed are Eastern.
