The NFL announced the complete 2020 schedule on Thursday evening, and the Miami Dolphins will kick off their 2020 season on the road against the Jarrett Stidham led New England Patriots. The new-look Dolphins will get a Brady-less Patriots in Foxborough where they may be without fans.

The Dolphins were one of the worst teams in the NFL last season but are looking to bounce back with the help of their new franchise quarterback. They selected Tua Tagovailoa with the No. 5 pick in this years draft, and he’s expected to lead the team for the foreseeable future — barring injury.

Miami had to a lot of holes to fill following the 2019 season and did its best to address those problems. It made Byron Jones the highest paid cornerback in the NFL to shore up its secondary in free agency and made moves through the draft as well. Offensive lineman Austin Jackson was the No. 18 pick and could offer protection for Tagovailoa down the road on the offensive line. Cornerback Noah Igbinoghene was the Dolphins third first round pick (No. 30 overall) and will assist Jones and Xavien Howard in pass coverage.

The Dolphins aren’t close to becoming a contender in the AFC East — despite the departure of Tim Brady — but, they are trending in the right direction.

All times listed are Eastern.
